If Kenny-Dowall is playing for the Goulburn Correctional Centre 13's this time next year then we'll only have to offload two players to afford the then 29 year old Hayne.

I'd choose Pearce and Moa but Pearce will be here until retirement.

      But Hayne wouldn't be.

I think that if he gives up on NFL he will be a Rooster.

But where does the $1m plus come from? We would have to offload a couple of our top players at least.

I would go for Pearce and Guerra.

      You?

I wouldn't sign Hayne at all - takes up too much cap space, as much as I love the man as a player. If SBW and Hayne both go down with injury you possibly have close to $2 million sitting on the sidelines, which is really really dumb football management.

Given SBW is already on board (supposedly), I would do the smart thing and lock up Tedesco, who has far more improvement and would save $300 - $400K of salary cap funds.

All you ungrateful fans that continue to give Pearce a hard time should give back your 2013 memories.

I'll run naked down Bondi Road if we win a comp with 21 year old halves.

I would expect the same with Hayne.
That's how we got Carney and Fergo so cheap.

I have had that exact same thought running through my head.

I'd tell SBW to take a walk and get rid of Ferguson. That'd free up enough money for Hayne.

And don't tell me I can't get rid of SBW. I am POS in this scenario and thus can do whatever I want.

We played the 2012 season under the cap and a decent chunk of maloneys 3 yr deal from 2013-15 was included in the 12 cap.Perhaps it's possible they are repeating that type of scenario with sonny or Hayne this year

Lol @ getting rid of by far our best back.

                      You'd be a lousy POS.

Well that decision has nothing to do with on field performance.

I hope he remains our best back at number one.

Not that I want SBW or Hayne at the Roosters, but given I have no control over that, if we had to lose players I would pick Moa, Guerra and perhaps SKD if needed, I'd prefer to lose a few fringe players than SKD..

Not Aubo, he is too versatile and bleeds red, white and blue. A true team player. Deserves to be a Chook for as long as he chooses to.
Supporting the RW&B, through good times and bad times.

Yes yes yes. Tedesco is a freak . Would be expensive but nothing like Hayne so could probaly keep one of the names people are mentioning to offload for Hayne.

                              You don't think SKD does?

                                What happens to Latrell Mitchell?

I may be in the minority but I don't want Tedesco. Too injury prone.
