Geez Fletch you're being such a Debby Downer mate! Anyone would think you're Mitchell Pearce.
Let's see how the trials go at least before we write ourselves off at this stage. We still have some very good players in the team. And if one or two youngsters have big years they've got the natural talent to keep us near the top. Doesn't mean we should rush young guys into the team before they are ready. If Pearce is suspended for a long period or sacked (which I do not believe is the answer) then Nikorima would be the only guy I'd be bringing into the team. Latrell Mitchell will start on the wing and get his chance down the track when he is ready. Nothing that has happened in the last 24 hours should change that.
Defensively we will miss Pearce and Jennings a lot I believe. And of course we'll be rudderless for large parts of game while Nikorima and Hastings adjust but we still have the best forward pack in the comp. And I've got a good feeling about Jake Friend becoming the outright best hooker in the league this season.
