I'm happy for people to post if they don't like the design TBH. Preferably though, if they could say why without needing to be a dick about it, it would be helpful.

I think I'm gonna play around with the design more, and whilst it's probably fair to say the club won't accept an outside design, perhaps if fans start submitting a few more it might help them decide what direction to go in if they do ever make a change.

Maybe all of us can just use this thread to submit ideas (for those that have designs)

Here's where mine is at now in any case:

That alone kinda says something doesn't it? Even after 15 years fans still suggest alternatives every year to the cartoon logo we got saddled with back in 2000.

            Cheers Eddie!

I think I'm arriving at a design that does what I set out (properly incorporate all our logos):

I like the idea - a couple of suggestions Roostah - the light blue / purple alternating grey trim - rather than alternating on the outside and keeping in with your idea of referencing all the various logos, perhaps look at using the light blue from the WWII Jersey as the outer trim. Need to consider where it sits on the red and white Vs. a similar thing was done with previous logos

Cheers mate - The trim of the shield isn't purple, it's just a black and white trim with 50% opacity. I'd tried using a couple different shades of blue at first, but it looked a little off.

That said, I really like the idea of incorporating a colour from the WWII jersey - I'll give it a go and see how it looks. Do you know its exact colour code?

No worries - I should be able to find it somewhere on the net.

Hey guys, so I've been tinkering around the edges with this in my spare time and actually managed to connect with the main graphic designer at Easts.

He's been clear that the club aren't currently considering a change, but he's a big fan of the old school stuff and was responsible for the great membership logos from 2013-14. He's pretty positive on the design I've proposed overall, but reckons it ought to lose the 3D extrudes on the shield and asked if I could incorporate the Roosters type into the logo some how.

My personal preference is to keep it separate as I don't want it dominating the thing, so I've had a go at both. Removing the 3D extrudes from the shield made it look a little fat to me though, so I've brought that in a bit too. Have a look below and let me know what you think.

Lose the balls as letters in the word 'Roosters'. Naff idea.

You're the first person to hate it so far, but I've done a mock up of one without it and post it for comparison.

It looks pretty good without them, but I personally like the footies in there.

I think at this point you're actually closer to a good finished logo. Rotate the red and the blue on the ball so the blues at the top and the red down the bottom and the ESDRLFC est. 1908 in the bottom of the border

Mate I'm a huge fan of what your doing with the logo but have to agree with Bansai, I can't stand the balls in the Roosters name. We all want a simple design that incorporates our history. I prefer the one with without the Roosters name yet if the club says it's a must then go with the one that the Roosters name is plain and simple under the Sydney name not the seperate one..

Have you thought of a petition or even putting the logo on a cap? If you get heaps of fans wearing them then the club might take notice. Anyway great work and I hope it comes off cause I cannot stand our current logo!
