We pride ourselves on our defense , our defensive record over the past 3 years goes to show we are the best team when it comes to defensive. But after a few key changes in personal & players will we still enforce that ruthless Defense? Hastings > Maloney. Jimmy was probably our biggest liability in Defense, Hastings looks like he can hold his own. I think RTS & Fergo is pretty evenly matched.. Fergo is a loud person who apparently never shuts up, his weak point will be his inexperience at the back. Jenko > Copley. With Fergo & Jenko outta our centre positions we lose that speed on our edges to rush up and shut down plays. Copley looks fairly solid so he won't be that bad. I still believe our coaching and pack is the best in the Comp so we will be up there again.

With defence, a big part of it is absolute trust and faith in the guy next to you.
I would expect our defence to slip this year for two reasons - one being the departure of RTS, Jenk and Maloney and the relationships they have with the rest of the team. The second reason is the likely inclusion of Elliot, Mitchell etc with suspect defence.
I think our middle is fine, but I expect us to occasionally get torn a new one on the edges against some of the better teams.

We have proven we have some of the best and most consistant defenders in the competition, Guerra and Boydie have lead the way on this department.
Missed tackle numbers can be misleading as often they are caught defending someone else's man , watch the inside/outside shoulders.
Our defensive intimidation is also second to none , JwH and Le Dill cover that element.
Defensive policies are often changed , we were exposed on our edges a number of times in the past because we relied upon our speed men to go "up and in " , maybe it will be an advantage to our D line with a renewed strategy

We have 'timed' our run poorly the last 2 years and have failed to get up at the right time. This is a massive issue I hope the club has addressed in the off season.

In 14 we didn't really look that good most of the season. We also got annihilated by the refs all year right into the finals. The casty double movement where the cheat didn't even bother going to the vid ref was a disgrace. We win with that try go onto the opposite side of the draw and face Canterbury in the GF qualifier. Instead we met Souths 12-12 at HT and the cheat penalised us out of it 7-0 in the 2nd half I think the count was.

Agree, and that's what won us the comp,We absolutely broke teams spirit not to mention their fans. That first semi we won 4-0 v manly, they absolutely threw everything at us and could not break thru. I was at the game with a good mate who supports manly. He was so frustrated and couldn't believe how we kept turning them around.A D that was so good the NRL resorted to a change in the rules to circumvent it.
