He is a repeat offender and clearly has problems with his attitude towards women whilst on the drink. And I doubt he will stop drinking.

The clubs credibility and reputation is at stake here. They cant excuse the inexcusable, especially from their captain. And ill be disappointed in Robbo if he even tries to defend the bloke.

Cut him loose and make it clear to the squad the can follow if they want to indulge in any unsavoury behavior. Time to draw a line in the sand about the standards the club expects from its players.
This is certainly the right path however I doubt it will be the chosen one by the club.

    • The irony is that Pearce had his best season when we had SBW there who was preaching non-drinking , and the team followed and won the premiership. There is strong talk of SBW returning in 2017. Will Pearce still be there? I hope not. I have defended him on many occasions despite his limitations as a match winner, but he is showing ni maturity and respect for the position he has been given by the club. Hence I'd rather suffer a mediocre season with rookie halves that will potentially be the future of the club over the next 5-10 years. We stll have great forwards, and plenty of young talent coming through, we just need a stabilising influence, such as Cordner and JWH, and hopefully SBW in 2017.

      • Why are people suddenly worried about rookie halves?
Is it because their lack of experience might cause them to take a lot of poor options on the last, or go missing in pressure games?
Some halfbacks still do those things after 200 games...........

          • I've got no wish to look at the video, but sounds like yet another stupid act. They never seem to learn. Majority opinion seems to be dismay that he's brought this onto the club, but not overly worried about losing him. Time will tell.

            • Pearce has now overstayed his welcome. Contrary to the Sticky at the top, I feel the club needs to know how the fans feel.

Multiple incidents damaging the Rooster brand. Just like his footy - just does not seem to learn. What we have now is the best we will ever get. He is paid marquee money and not performing at that level either on or off the field.

I'll be disappointed with anything less than a sacking in this instance. Everyone's patience has been well tested.

              • He should resign and the Roosters should accept.

                • He's been an embarrassment on and off the field for a while. I hope he follows Canavan.

                  • He should be sacked. Not for the act itself, but for the fact he's front page news on the Herald and the Tele, as well as the front page of the sport section in The Australian.
