Just read an interesting speculative article where Quade Cooper was saying he wants to play Origin and wants to play with SBW. It also said:
Cooper negotiated his own contract with the ARU, with advice from agent Khoder Nasser - who also manages Williams. Nasser's influence over both men's careers has intensified speculation they will be shopped around as a two-man package to NRL sides next year and Cooper's comments add weight to that theory.
If the 2 came as a package would anyone want them? I for 1 don't actually rate SBW and reckon his personality is right up there with Willie Wanka and all the other dogs who dogged the Dogs for millions after the GF (and failed elsewhere.)
Quade... apparently played rep league up until the age of 18, otherwise I'd have no interest in him.
Say we dumped Anasta, Mini and well... Nate's gone anyway, I reckon we could nearly afford Cooper and SBW. Replace Anasta with Quade (he's a fly-half I know... but Carney probably has him covered as a league 5/8.) SBW into Nate's spot... I reckon we'd do alright if they fired. That said, both have big egos and neither have played league for aaages. They'd probably be expensive rotten wagyu with the Roosters, but it's an interesting thought IMO...
Side note... I bet either the Titans, Knights or St Merge have both lined up (without having to drop anybody.) Probably not really worth our time bidding on them (or getting involved with that shonky agent.)
