This club has done some odd things though...

      1. Tomkins ($400k)

      8. McGuire ($200k)
      9. Friend
      10. Kennedy
      11. Bolton ($400k)
      12. Aubusson
      13. Symonds
wow i think you're overestimating Bolton's price a little there. Tomkins seems flashy but wouldn't be worth 400k imo

It is based on inflated salaries once the cap goes up i.e. larger cap means players want a greater piece of the pie. From 4.2m to 6m a year is a big jump, and players are going to want a lot more.

I like all of your signings. My only qualm with McGuire in partiuclar is experience. if we lose myles, ryles etc we will be missing experience in the forwards. Another player that could be worth a go is lillyman. Can play backrow or prop and is a very consistent performer. I also like bolton a lot but not sure about that salary - he is far from that sort of player but will soon become one. A player i think we could turn into bolton though is guerra. very similar sorts of players those 2. Id like to see us give guerra, lowe, cordner a bit of a go this year considering the injuries to symonds, maubs and cherro to identify exactly what we need

You carry on as though they should be angels.

A high percentage of them are 19-25 years of age.

Many of them have little education.

            They like to binge drink.

Much like you probably did at the same age.
It doesn't matter what i did/did not do at my age, i was not under public scrutiny like these guys are. You can argue till you go blue in the face about how it is unfair but that is how it is in this day and age. Other clubs hide it well, but we are smack bang in the middle of eastern suburbs - party central. It's too hard to keep things under lid like the Cowboys can for example (they still come up with a few crackers).

I don't care whether a player drinks, it's the behaviour that follows that is the problem.

We already have one - Carney - who just cannot control himself.

A couple of more with past form who have tried to bunker down - they still get trashed but with a 'safety net'.

Dugan has already a good list of indiscretions many of them never seeing the light of day in public. That's in Canberra. Imagine if the bogan is unleashed in the east. Great player, questionable injury future, big bucks. Would you risk it on a player who can go off the wire easily ?

Quade is lucky the ARU is so good at covering its tracks (Lote ?). The guy is very talented but again, can't hold his piss. Again a high risk signing considering the amount of money that will be laid out for him.

Quade Cooper has form for silly behavior.

No matter what Andrew "Mushroom" Stoner says the break & enter stats are bad enough in the Eastern Suburbs.

                Of course.

Say you're thinking of going to the Roosters, and it's a big new contract for you at your current club.

This is one time I agree with you.. I think it is more aimed at further destabilizing Carney given that Cooper is a 5/8..
