And your obvious bias against the bloke. I've only ever known you to be a Pearce basher since I joined this forum 5 years ago.
The guy's a bit dim-witted and needs to grow up but the punishment needs to fit the crime. His contract expires at the end of the year so let's see what he can offer us this year. We don't need to extend his contract if we don't want to.

Can't argue with that! The club is in a pretty good position. We can decide at years end whether he is worth keeping.

I think he is contracted to end 2017?

Need to know what Robinson and the leadership group thoughts are on it. Without knowing id tear the contract up and say if he has a year off and wants to come back and earn his spot then we give him another chance but no guarantee.

My point is that you have been consistent in your death-riding of Pearce since he debuted..so has Rusty..No point other than that..

I'm the kind of sad pathetic arsehole who tries to call it as he sees it..

I've never doubted your love for the club..no homo.. but my eyes aren't closed to your Pearce bias..

            Anyways hope all is well..

Hello old mate, I had my say when it originally happened, I lapped it up at the start, then had a think and felt others were also to blame for allowing this to continue for so long, i was then accused of being cynical so have taken a step back and waiting for the preceedings to play out. In the end i support this Club not the players and especially not some muppet that continuously brings the Club into disrepute through being selfish and not being able to control his drink. it frustrates the shit out of me when his ever dwindling legion of fans think he should not be sacked over such a minor incident, if this was an isolated incident i would be with them, however as we all know this is not an isolated incident there have been many recently reported and many many more that were conveniently swept under the carpet. The bloke has always been made of Teflon on and off the field, any players that could act as competition for his position in the team were often shipped off or left behind regardless of performance because the ckub and those around him knew he struggled with the pressure, yet he still continuous to throw in back in the clubs face.

Eloquently put. The return on the investment has not been worth the money.

G'day Rusticles you toe toucher you..

My burley is obviously still good..

All fair points by you, and you have definitely been rock solid with your hatred of the bloke, never wavered once (although i'm sure you wrapped him slightly after the GF2013)..

But i really feel that punishments should fit crimes, & nothing illegal took place (that can be proven in a court of law anyways), so i feel his punishment should've been less than what Sutton & Burgess got after being arrested overseas, or Barba after he bashed his missus..I really don't see how this could be a sackable offence, even if it wasn't his first misdemeanor..

Now that the sentence has been delivered i think that it is hard, but probably not unfair, considering the damage Pearce did to our & the NRL's brand..

And who knows, you may actually get your wish of seeing Pearce play hooker (off the bench) in 8 weeks..

Anyways hope the family is well, & hope those bloody trains are on time (if Hitler could you it, i truly believe you can)..

                Go Easts..

I certainly praised him after the 2013 GF for knowing when to get out of the way and let the big boys / matchwinners get the ball and get us home.

You are right the punishment should fit the crime, if this was a one off isolated incident even i would have laughed it off for what it was : a drunken mistake, however the bloke needs to be taught a lesson for repeat offences, not just the reported ones but the un reported ones that many know about but fail to acknowledge, tell that backwards mate of yours to get the bloody paint ready, pull is finger out of his blurter and start posting or has Shez reigned him in by the short and curlies

I think it's safe to say the leadership group is very pissed off. They were before this Incident. After the club event on the night in question some of the group went and did charity work at a homeless shelter in the cross. Just shows the mindset of some of the group compared to the others.
