i shall be calling them later on today... but in the mean time can someone maybe email the link of this site to the email provided above, and get them to pass it on to freddy for him to have a look at what the most loyal roosters fans are thinking (doubt it will happen offcourse).
i would, but my emails are monitered from work, not aloud to send non work related emails.
If you listen to the fans, you will end up sitting with them.

He doesen't need to come on here.

As I tried to explain a few weeks ago, buying Doggy rejects was a big mistake and now some of you are agreeing. There is a reason the Dogs didnt want them and you are finding out now. Fitler has issues - no structure, no plan and bad miss use of the bench. O'Meley actually looked ok but spent more time on the bench than on the field. WHY???? Anasta - move him to lock and let Pearce run the show. Anasta is inept and has no intention of passing the footy. FFS move Jones to 6 as a distributor and Anasta to 13 to do what he does now. Fitler has to go
Most of us have been saying the same things for alot longer than youve been saying them here mate. We are not stupid.

The coaching structure needs looking at definately. But until a suitable replacement is available I dont see we can pull someone from thin air. The lower grades are playing worse footy than the 1st grade, the whole clubs farked at the moment.

As for the Boggs players, they did help us make the top 4 last season. The issue seems to be with the changes to the game this season, the more up tempo game we are struggling to compete in the basic areas. If anything we are probably guilty of not preparing for those changes.

I think weve also signed too many players on long term deals. Maybe weve had to do that to get or retain those players. I think with the salary cap its very difficult to juggle form/rule changes/injuries etc and still retain a core group long term. Decisions made can have unforseen repercussions for 3-4 yrs. Many clubs are suffering from the same issues. It would be a very difficult position to be in, to juggle the players payments, rep bonuses, plan for injuries etc. Its something Im glad I dont have to do.

Look at your club, presuming its the Boggs by your name. Signed 4 Wankos, and its worked very well so far. It wouldnt be out of the realm that you make the top 4 this season but next year get into a similar situation we are in now. Remember the Wankos dont let the good ones go generally either.

We may have to take a hit this season, short term pain for long term gain. You guys did it last season. We had a great run in the early 00s. We are now paying for that success IMO. Sure we made some bad decisions but history has shown turnarounds can be quick if those making the decisions are smart.

I only hope we have enough smart heads left in the joint. Only time will tell though.

None of the clubs really care aout their fans, except in reference to generating revenue.
The Roosters are masters at this. Now Fisk has gone there is some change it may change but it won't happen straight away.

Agreed. Problem with us though was that we tried to hang on to 04 for too long. Change was needed and way before it happened. Is it time to bite the bullet at Bondi? Why not let the younger fellas come in and have a crack if things dont improve?

KB what more do you think the club should do for the fans? I mean there is a million and one fan days, meet the players, dinners, season launch, now I know that is all revenue based but there are more opportunities than ever to be involved.

I believe putting too many youngsters into a farked in the head team could do more damage than good in the long term. Some guys may not be mentally ready to deal with the shit thats happening at the moment, maybe its better to wait till we get other things right first, like winning a penalty count and hiring a shrink.

I guess thats what the club thinks also.

Also from what I know of the 2nd tier cap what you spend over this year counts on the next seasons cap. That could seriously affect the ability to buy some fresh meat next season.

Besides theres only a few blokes from what Ive heard that could handle and deserve a shot in 1st grade. And at least two of them have been injured in Williamson and Kennedy.

Newtown are woeful, they make our 1st grade look like they actually have a clue. Shame they were in the GF last season.

Id say theres a slim hope still we can do something in 1st grade and if we dont do SOMETHING soon we will try out a few kids, as you allude to we may just unearth the next big thing.

Would be nice to get some luck with injuries. We really miss Mini, Maubs, Brown and Cherro IMO. Add to that list Soli, Fitzy and Jaubs theres 7 starters from last years team MIA. Also we let Amos, Shillo and Toops fly thats 10.

The cap is a huge issue. Signing up these Doggies blokes to long deals at the money we shelled out for them is not real bright.

Sorry to say this but if the reported $400k for Jnr Jnr is true, then that seems way over as well. I just cant see his present ability warrants that sort of cash at this stage.

THe problem to me is that there isnt a lot of spare cash to be buying premium players. Carney will help, but a decent centre is desperately needed at the very least.

totally agree...i think pearce is going to be a good player for us, but right now his not worth that much. BUT he is one of the few who are actually trying to win!

should point out that most of the squad are in fact under 24 already.
