I'm assuming that with the WCC around the corner the Roosters won't field a competitive team.

Can't see Anasta doing anything tbh. Maybe get a few boos.

Keen to see the likes of Charlie Taylor, Latrell Mitchell and a few of the young guns. Always good to see them get game time against the big boys no matter what the format.

looks like Robbo is in mid season form, might have to wait until the boys jump on the plane to Auckland before finding out who is playing. I know it doesn't really matter, just want something else to discuss other than the Pearce drama.

the Eels/Storm two teams in our group have named squads mainly containing fringe players with a sprinkling of quality starters.

Parramatta Eels: Mitch Cornish, Bureta Faraimo, John Folau, Bevan French, David Gower, Luke Kelly, Cameron King, Manu Ma’u, Tepai Moeroa, Ryan Morgan, Cody Nelson, Corey Norman (c), Junior Paulo, Semi Radradra, Kelepi Tanginoa, Peni Terepo, Vai Toutai, Matt Woods.

Melbourne Storm: 1. Curtis Scott, 2. Young Tonumaipea, 3. Richie Kennar, 4. Cameron Munster, 5. Marika Koroibete, 6. Blake Green (c), 7. Brodie Croft, 8. Nelson Asofa-Solomona, 9. Ben Hampton, 10. Mark Nicholls, 11. Kenny Bromwich, 12. Tohu Harris, 13. Dale Finucane, 14. Nafe Seluini, 15. Jeremy Hawkins, 16. Dean Britt, 17. Joe Stimson, 18. Tony Tumusa.

A distraction from the pearce drama would be very welcome.

will be interesting to see how bevan french goes, he seems very promising, i wonder if parra will manage to hang onto him.

originally our squad was to be named this week but obviously other matters took priority.

apparently Joe Burgess is likely to be named when our team is released tomorrow.

will be watching with interest to see if Copley/Nikorima are named.

didn't realise but we actually open the tournament against the vermin on 10:30am next Saturday morning.

looking forward to hopefully seeing the likes of Mitchell/Manu up against better competition also if Elliot has continued his development during the offseason.

Fletch, on top off some of the other youngsters mentioned like Latrell and Taylor, factor in Vincent Leilua, Isaac Crighton & Connor Watson. Nat Butcher ???
Mitch Aubbo likely. They're not risking 1st graders getting injured when you consider flying/travel and why would they.

so they heavily promoted Slater, yet bellamy didn't pick him. typical. who's their top 5 player - Bromwich?

would have to think either 11. Kenny Bromwich, 12. Tohu Harris, 13. Dale Finucane would be the highest paid out of that lot.

He played fullback for parra u20s for most of last season. Very quick but a bit on the small side, a young ben barber is who he reminds me of. he seems a little small though, he'll need to bulk up a bit before he plays first grade, but he's only about 19 i think, he has plenty of time.
