You do realise this is only a 9s tournament don't you and that most clubs are not selecting their prize players. Given that Nikorima is now one of two first choice halves to start the season, I wouldn't expect him to be risked for the 9s.Originally posted by Drumstick

A good young team. Looking forward to seeing how the best of our young guns handle the step up. Obviously Latrell should impress although really looking forward to also seeing Manu, Watson and Butcher run around. Watson looks an intelligent and creative half and butcher a tough lock. might end up being a very wise decision by the club to rest the majority of our stars, seems there are some major concerns about the state of the Eden Park surface which hosted the Aust/NZ cricket one dayer on Wednesday.
certainly going to be a very hard surface for the players but the biggest problem is if the rain comes as expected and the field turns into an ice rink.
