Looks like an early knockoff for the lads...but the interesting part is to see the guys who haven't been seen before in East's top grade...for hints of promise and good things to come hopefully.

I would be very surprised if he is still here with us after June 30. Such a talent but has been so wasted here. I have watched so many of his games and Nikorima and I am very disappointed and to think the club selects Anasta. No wonder the club has problems
And the reason Anasta has been chosen is that he can be counted as a 'marquee' and so that's one less of our topline players that need to be selected to meet the criteria.
You can start the whinging and bitching if Anasta plays in the World Club Challenge instead of Nikorima.
The squad is a mixture of the old, the new, and the maybes/wannabees, just as it should be. Not every young bloke with potential can be included, which is why Taylor may have missed the cut.Supporting the RW&B, through good times and bad times.

might end up being a very wise decision by the club to rest the majority of our stars, seems there are some major concerns about the state of the Eden Park surface which hosted the Aust/NZ cricket one dayer on Wednesday.
certainly going to be a very hard surface for the players but the biggest problem is if the rain comes as expected and the field turns into an ice rink.
