As he hasn't broken any laws that we know of as yet I can't see the NRL Integrity unit being able to do a real lot either. As much as i would like to see him gone i just don't think it's going to happen or the club would have already did so. But in saying that I would imagine that this is his final contract with the club IMO.
You don't need to sack someone to move them on mid contract. This will likely be a Jennings like situation, being told at the end of the year that he won't be offered another contract so it would be in his interests to find a club prepared to offer him a long term deal from 2016.

If he can't play NRL this season there is a fair chance we will be doing a season swap for a player from France.

All I know is that I want to go cheer the rest of the guys on more than ever!
My belief is the best thing for Pearce is to sit the season out whilst he sorts himself out. I dont think a month or two away is long enough for this to happen I feel he needs an extended break But with what is being said now they are forcing Pearce to return and not giving him this opportunity To me it seems like the old mans influence is coming to the fore The club obviously want him to play (which I disagree with I dont think playing this season is in his best interests) In short he has been whisked off for the whole thing to die down and will be given a slap on the wrist and be back playing by April or May which I think is wrong and which I think wont help Pearce learn a thing Should this happen I will put big money on him not only relapsing but once again making a fool of himself in the process

Until it is sorted one way or another I will not consider renewing my seasons tickets

The best option for young Mitchell would be to land a contract with the Tigpies.
Seems that a lot of their fans are disappointed with the currrant halves pairing, and would welcome the son of a club legend with open arms.
Imagine the warm and fuzzy feeling pervading the leagues club when junior junior has a beer or three with the seniors who wax lyrical about his old man.

And who knows............he might be a great half back when he has more experience....................

Hard to comment when no one knows the extent or even the existence of an alcohol or substance problem with Mitch. For all we know he had a big night that went a few hours longer than it should have. Yes it's happened before, but without knowing whether an issue exists it's hard to advocate for him to sit an entire season out and essentially be unemployed for 12 months.

Most on the pen seem to be projecting wishful thinking into the situation by hoping he gets sacked based on playing form rather than off field form. Ultimately, we as a club need him this season. Our depth is stretched but I don't want him to come back if it'll effect his recovery to his hypothetical problem. The things he's said in the media this far are likely just a PR spin and shipping off to Thailand could be to appease the NRL. The only ones who know are the club and Mitch.
