I do wonder if Robbo does regret his decision to hand over the captaincy to Pearce/Friend, I can understand how he hoped it would mature the two of them but if anything it has worked out the opposite.

He's also Mr Effing consistent. Tactically you could do a lot with him IMO. If I were Maub and they didn't make me captain with all this shyte going on, I'd put myself on the market asking for offers of $500k a season or more.

He was just stupid enough to get so drunk to a point where he had a camera in his face and was too intoxicated to care about that.

[QUOTE=eddie;n635282]I'm assuming we haven't heard any mention of this subject because Friend will be captain on his pat malone this year?
I wonder if he's the right bloke for the job, especially since we've lost a tonne of experience.Jake was letting Mr "no sexuality" do most the talking last season.
I'd let him concentrate on his own game and give the job to someone else.
With JWH and Cordner unavailable, choices are limited.
Captain Moa.
Give him more game time.
The bloke commands respect, is an excellent role model, leads by example on the field, and is very well spoken.
Think about it Trent.[/QUOTE/]
From memory it was the other way around - once Jake came back into the team after his injury, he did nearly all the media stuff for the Chooks. Mitchell was a no show during Origin and for a lot of games after it as well. It was if the club were shielding him. And once Mitchell was injured it was all up to Jake again.
I reckon Mitch had the easy run with the captaincy last year. Jake did all the hard yards, and compared to what he was like a few years ago, his media skills have improved enormously. He will never be the most eloquent of blokes, but then that's not unusual for a footy player, which is what he is.Supporting the RW&B, through good times and bad times.

The Nanny state is strong and alive!
Comparing Ricko and the gibbon to Pearce is ridiculous.
Twisting the obvious meaning of what 13 wrote don't change facts.
If you just think Pearce is a good captain, then we can agree to disagree.

I made absolutely no mention of Pearce. The discussion was about Jake Friend.
