No I just have strong principals of social liberty & freedom and it burns you because you you're a schadenfreude.

I believe professionals should be judged on what they get paid for and in this case it's to play footy, not what they choose to do in their free time.

I made absolutely no mention of Pearce. The discussion was about Jake Friend.
When he wrote the word EITHER after the Friend comment, who do think he was referring to????
Having read the stupid discussion in the first place I realise you didn't mention the MP character.
If you just wanna score points by being pedantic we can agree to disagree.

Bottom line is Pearce or Friend aren't half the captain Ricko, Fitzy, or Fittler was.

If you're judging On last season's performance, friend shouldn't be anywhere near the captaincy then. His pass to pearce also destroyed our season😠

When the discussion is about Jake Friend and you start quoting me about a different player it has nothing to do with being pedantic, it has everything to do with being off-topic.

You can't be a scadenfreude. It is a sense or a feeling. Kind of like how many non-Roosters are feeling due to our horror pre-season.

I think Robbo recognised that with the departure of Mini, he couldn't appoint one single Captain and a deputy or vice and go with that. Hence why he appointed two co-Captains and the dual vices too. All that has now been thrown out of whack given what's happen (for the first 10 rounds at least).

If I were to place a bet, I think Robbo would appoint Aubo as a stand in Captain at least until such time as Cordner and JWH return. Aubo is one of the first names on Robbo's team lists and that won't change baring an absolute disaster. His other credentials and attributes and, importantly, his ability to string two sentences together all work in his favour. In fact, if I'm not mistaken, I think Aubo has already Captained the team in trials if not one off games.

His attack wasn't as good as it has been but he was coming back from a serious injury and didn't get a full pre-season in last year and he's acknowledged that himself this off-season.

His defence was as good as ever though, it's amazing just how consistently he can pull of crucial cover tackles on men twice his size. Friendy role models what a good effort looks every time he steps on to the field. IMO that's a great sign of a strong leader, he sets the standard in defence no doubts about it.

                  Straight up?
Bet you'd die defending your right of way.
Maybe you should consider scaling down your beef with the nanny state. That sort of environment benefits people like you.

I gotta dash, I'm playing chess with a pigeon. Ever heard that analogy?

Defence can never be questioned with friend, i hope a full pre season gets his attack back, might have to take a bit more on now with our current predicament.

You misunderstood/read what we were discussing about and were off-topic move on I really couldn't care less.

I'm hoping Friendy will have a big season and earn himself a spot in next years WC squad.

                        Definitely not captain material though.

Co-Captaincy is absolute BS. I can't stand this concept.

Do you call spitting alcohol over an Easts Leagues staff member and refusing to apologise being professional conduct of a Captain of our team?

Agreed, ok in under 7's but not NRL

Yes, the 2012 pre-season trials and also that very memorable round one game against Souths when JWH scored at the 77th minute. He was chosen ahead of Mini back then as well (Braith was out injured at the time). For my choice, it can only be Aubbo. He is stable, scandal free, highly respected by all, consistent, versatile and mature. He should have been captain all along when Mini was unavailable. Like most on here, I'm not a fan of co-captains as this is not high school or ballet class and you can't all be winners or leaders. One vice captain, like the olden days, to take charge if and when the captain is not onfield. Let Jake concentrate on making his eleventy billion tackles.
