There is no doubt it is still very possible for us to make the finals. We simply need to start winning more matches than we lose. Is that possible? Hard to say but if we get a little momentum going it is certainly within the realms of possible.

Depends on what type of mathematical you talk about.....

When you talk about mathematical in the sense of "we still have control of our destiny and need to win games" then thats a good thing.

When you talk about mathematical in the sense of "if we win our last 12 and this team loses the rest of their games and black caviar loses to lame mule to make the 8" then we need to worry

To put it simply, the usual cut-off for the 8 is 28 points...so we're currently on 8 points, add the upcoming bye and we're on 10 points with 14 games left in the season. So that means we need to win atleast 9 more games to get to 28 points...9 out of 14 :O well it's not impossible but it's gonna be bloody hard. An easier way to look at it is if we lose 5 more games then we won't make it for sure. Not liking our chances, but the game against the cowboys will really tell us where we're at, if we lose i'm finally ready to say our season is over, but with a few of their stars backing up from origin (fingers crossed thurston, scott, tonga and lillyman all get injured!!! :P) you never know, we might just get passed them like we did the knights. *fingers crossed*!!!!

Mario, if people are confident of making the finals then they don't need to bring 'mathematics' into it.. When they do it is a worry.

We cant nor deserve to make the finals this year.
We should use to remainder of the season to blood some more young guys from the 20s and Newtown.
We have a lot of talent at our disposal and handled properly our club has a great few years ahead.
Lets use all the useless dickheads (ie Riddell ,Ryles ,Anasta,FPN) to give these young guys guidence.As much as it hurts losing this year could be the making of us for years to come.
