I don't think it's in disguise but Pearce's efforts with the puppy has opened the door for us to finally get a decent half/5/8. Nikorema is our savior and he will prove to be our best pivot since Freddy. It's obvious that Hastings is the goods and Nikorema's performance has me saying Maloney who. Pearce can stay in Thailand as far as I'm concerned.

I said will prove to be our greatest 5/8 since Freddy, you should work at the Tele. No doubt the Pearce apologists will all come out but I could see that Pearce was all hype right from the beginning so to finally have a half combination as good as we have is fantastic.

At least learn to spell his name if you're going to big note him.
I was impressed with him but I want to see more.
Luke Brooks had one of the best debuts for a half I've ever seeen but he's been nothing but gash since. The true test in a halfs career is when every team and coach has done hours of footage on you but you still consistently deliver.
A one off game in the grand scheme of thing and lets be honest Coggy, that's all you've seen means nothing.

No doubt Nippy is worth getting excited about
& fans have every right to gush at the potential
BUT Pearce has that special kicking skill which has gotten us out of the threat zone upteen times
No other player on our roster can kick down field like he can....
the positive from all this is Robbo now has confidence in Nippy's diverse talents & can seriously consider how to merge the skill sets of both players moving forward in a game with new rules
for me the BLESSING could be a tandem strategy from the bench, where either Pearce & Nippy could in fact enhance our attack given it's a more up tempo game
In this context I would welcome the return of Pearce & his contribution as either the run on half or bench utility
I believe both can cover hooking, full back, halves etc from the bench depending on the day"Qui audet adipiscitur"

If the long kicking game is Pearce's main attribute we can probably do better without him overall. There are other minuses over a long period where he's had a ridiculous amount of chances.
Early days for Niko but wish him well. I'm more looking forward to Hastings being our regular long-term number 7.#We Stand with ourJewish community#

I think the blessing is that Pearce is overseas and we get an opportunity to test the rising stars' abilities. The longer Pearce is rehabilitating, the longer Robbo gets to assess his options.
Although a one off trial against a club that is rebuilding, I liked what little I've seen of Niko. But too early for me to be busting a #6 jersey.
FWIW, if Management sacks PEARCE, I'm ok with that decision....if they keep Pearce he needs a short leash and a month (assuming no injuries to SoH/Niko) at Terrigal to learn his lesson. Seems a slow learner, so the longer he stays out, the better the lesson is learned for him.Written and published on behalf of the Liberal Party, Queensland
