      Meh.

We're here to judge whether it's justifiable to allow SKD to wear our proud colours, and imo:
      • shitting in a corridor drunk – no way
      • rolling some bloke for his Roley – piss off
      • Bashing your missus – get fcuked
      • Smashing a photo out of frustration – I can live with that

I mean, this is a person who didn't say "boo" until he barred her – including in (presumably) 20,000 texts – then she went to Easts before she went to the cops.

I can imagine such a person driving you into such a rage.

I know Shaun can get out from behind accusations of punching a wall. Blame Tony Abbott.

I would much rather somebody smash something next to somebody out of frustration, than to hit the person. If that is the worst that happened, then so be it.

Article in the SMH implies he's a baddy:
                http://www.smh.com.au/rugby-league/s...23-gn1xia.html

It comes down to the person telling the story – I mean the author is a) a woman and b) not a chook fan (presumably), so it's been written (and subbed) from the perspective of the sensational: Footy player = thug, woman = trodden-on.

When I tell the story it's all about making excuses for SKD and vilifying his partner.

                Who knows?

                    Latest SMH article:
Sydney Roosters centre Shaun Kenny-Dowall joked to his mother that he had "bashed" his girlfriend when she turned up at a family lunch with a visible bruise on her arm, a court has been told.
Jessica Peris took to the stand in the Sydney District Court on Wednesday to give evidence against her former boyfriend, who is facing 11 domestic violence charges including assault, stalking, intimidation and destroying property.
The NRL star has pleaded not guilty to the allegations, which include headbutting his girlfriend, pushing her, pulling her hair, putting her in a headlock, destroying a mobile phone, grabbing her arm so tightly it left a bruise, kicking her out of bed and sending offensive text messages.
Ms Peris, a professional track athlete training for the Olympic Games, said the violence started months into their relationship in late 2014 during an argument over previous partners.
Mr Kenny-Dowall locked himself in the bathroom with her phone before emerging and throwing the phone across the room, smashing it.
He pushed Ms Peris up against the wall, threw her on the bed and grabbed her left arm so tightly that a bruise emerged days later.
"You're a f---ing slut, I have wasted my time," Ms Peris recalled him saying to her.
He then punched a framed photo on the wall, cutting his knuckles and leaving blood across the room of their Coogee apartment.
Ms Peris said her boyfriend later apologised for "flipping" and gave her a $700 gift card, a club prize given to him by the Roosters, "because he felt bad".
Days later, when the pair had lunch with Mr Kenny-Dowall's parents for a birthday, his mother saw the bruise on her arm and said "Oh my gosh Jess, what's that on your arm?" Ms Peris recalled.
"I was quite hesitant in saying what it's from but Shaun sarcastically said, 'Oh I bashed her' as if it was... something to be laughed about," she told the court.
She said his mother replied: "I hope you didn't, Shaun."
An athletics teammate is expected to give evidence that she noticed the bruise but Ms Peris told her it was from accidentally dropping a weight bar while doing exercises.
Mr Kenny-Dowall's barrister, Ian Temby, QC, said there was no dispute that he punched the framed picture and injured himself but Ms Peris was nowhere near it at the time. He has disputed all the allegations of violence against her.
Ms Peris, who met Mr Kenny-Dowall at a bar in Bali in 2012, reported the incidents to police when the relationship ended in 2015.
She told the court on Wednesday that, at different times during their relationship, Mr Kenny-Dowall pushed her in the hallway of their apartment, kicked her out of bed and pushed her for coming home drunk one night.
After a fight over their pet dog, he allegedly locked her out of the bedroom and, when she forced her way in, he head-butted her, she told the three-day hearing.
When he returned home from a Roosters function on May 16, 2015, he took one of her vodka alcopops and sprayed it on her, the court heard.
Earlier on Wednesday, more than 40,000 text messages exchanged by the couple in a 10-month period were tendered, the equivalent of about 150 per day.
Among them are messages that show Jessica Peris took cocaine on occasion, Detective Senior Sergeant Laney Martyr told the court.
Kenny-Dowall's defence team will argue that none of the messages contained any mention of domestic violence.
In one message in March 2015, after some of the alleged incidents, Kenny-Dowall asked his girlfriend, "tell me [what] I have done Jess, what do I do wrong in this relationship?"
She replied that he needed to make an effort and help her become more confident and motivated for her athletics training.
Ms Peris' mother, former Olympian turned Northern Territory politician Nova Peris, was present as was a member of the NRL Integrity Unit.
Kenny-Dowall pleaded not guilty to the charges in August, two weeks after he was admitted to hospital following concerns about his mental health.
The member of the Roosters' 2013 NRL title-winning team missed three club games after being charged but has since returned to the field.
                    The hearing continues.

Maybe I'm biased, but this is clearly a stitch up.

She only comes forward after her attempted bribe fails. And NOT ONE of the 40k messages mentions violence. She's also a crackhead with form.

But perhaps I shouldn't be saying all this for fear of being labelled a misogynist pig.

I wouldn't say you're a misogynist pig. I'd say you're bias, as we all are on this forum. I hope he didn't do any of what is mentioned because skd is a true club legend. However, I can't see skd escaping from this without any damage. Any domestic violence conviction, no matter how apparently minor in the eyes of this forum, will likely result in a very significant ban.

Did she admit in court about the use of cocaine by her? If so, is that something that WADA or ASADA will be interested in since she is try to make the Olympics? Or those organisations don't care about cocaine? I am confused.
