Wouldn't her daughter be one of them? I thought you were done from this thread anyway lol.. or were you finished only if SKD was innocent or guilty or maybe you just make it up as you go along lol..

Don't worry about me mate. Right now I'm thinking you're either super defensive of skd or you've got a hard on for me.

      • Just got back in the country and I am currently studying law.

Still in holiday mode and cannot be bothered looking up the court listings for tomorrow.

However, does anyone know what time does the hearing reconvene tomorrow?

Footnote: Just checked I would imagine 9.30am tomorrow morning

Yeh mate, IF WHAT SHE SAYS IS TRUE, problem with your argument is u were saying the club should of accommodated what she wanted when the facts are still in dispute. The fact she approached the club to begin with diminishes the strength of her argument to begin with. It is also still extortion regardless of whether the accusations are true or not. Cockdoodle needs to settle down with the dumbest post bullshit, your posts are always worth reading, but under no circumstances should we have given her anything. I will b surprised if it's not just tossed out.

            • "Why did the club even agree to offer her a loan car and accommodation for a month then?"
Because if, in the unlikely event, that she was telling the truth, the club looked after her.
Could you imagine the outrage if it's true and the club told her to 'tell your story walking!'

The club should have helped her regardless until an investigation was completed. It's a serious accusation. She's either a victim or mentally unwell. Perhaps both. It doesn't cost the club much too look after a potential dv victim. It costs the club immensely if she was telling the truth and it turned her away.

Now you really have lost the plot.

The club is not a charity. They are under no obligation whatsoever to fund ex-partners of their players.

Their obligation is to pay his wages.

The fact they offered her anything is impressive. Even if it is true they would have been well within their rights to tell her to go jump.

I didn't say fund her. The club would no doubt have domestic violence policies in place. I'm not saying give her 50k and send her on a holiday but I would think the club has a responsibility to provide some form of short term assistance to her. Whether that's referring her to a domestic violence service or assessing whether she has somewhere to go if she can't return home. I'm not saying Robbo or politis be involved but the club and the nrl have welfare officers who look after this shit all the time.

As for the last part, if it's true and they told her to go jump then why bother aligning with white ribbon? Why get involved in any social justice cause if we're only paying lip service to these initiatives?

You are saying that the club should start dolling out cash to anyone that makes an allegation against one of their players.

Like I said. You have lost the plot.

Thats a fair cop out then. So they just wanted to cover themselves just in case, give her a months accommodation, then fend for yourself. It could of ended up ugly for the whole club if she accepted the one month, and then it came out later.

Should the club not have brought this up to somebody's attention after the letter was received?

                            Yeah is 9.30am

I attended the arvo after I worked the NRL Launch at Pullman Quay G.

By then the pendulum was favouring SKD ; she was getting stitched by his counsel

Vibe was tense, by inference as well the contextual issues of the massive body of texting

involved there were a lack of threats apart from her towards another person.

seems the moment of actual physical violence was the 'arm grab' which he claims was an act self defence on his part

My opinion is he will get off, a little intimidator versus the gentle giant.......

Handing her $100 bills from a paper bag is a kack!!

I thought the only $100 bills are held by crims & tax evaders lol

Apologies for suggesting that an organisation partnered with a domestic violence foundation should seek to assist (not necessarily financially) a female claiming to have suffered violence committed by a player. I'd have argued the same for anyone against any club. Time will tell I guess.

They offered shelter at a time of need. Importantly, they declined to offer any monetary assistance, ie no one can say they provided hush money. The club did the correct thing.
Any other matters is up to the individual to decide, ie police action. It's not up to the Roosters to take a letter, of which they are unable to verify or validate to the Police.
