Going into a bathroom to lock the door gives him control for a few minutes. If the picture she is painting is true, he wouldn't need to get away from her. She'd be over there on her eggshells while he keeps yanno.. being controlling 24/7. It's not adding up for me.

Will the Judge be fearful of silently supporting DV.. or is it more problematic to support the psychological games of entitlement this woman seemingly carries around with her. You can have toxic immature dramatic relationships without "I'll make the bastard pay, in court!".
Good summary. As to the last question, I await the verdict eagerly on Monday. i would, however, be utterly gobsmacked if Shaun is found guilty of the serious charges.

        We need a new title.....

        The athletically " flattered" housewife
        The emotionally " scattered" housewife
        The money " mattered" housewife

Poor SKD, his reputation is in tatters.

        • By the sound of it, she should be on charges for making false accusations. She has put the guy through hell yet she will get to walk away unscathed. What a horrible person she must be. What goes around comes around.....

Yes Johnny. They found him a few streets away from me, down the road at Bellevue Hill, sitting in his car silently, with one of those wretched newspapers beside him, with a headline screeching about what a violent man he is. This whole business is a slap in the face to Shaun's family as well as they were the primary ones taking care of Jess' little boy whilst she was out and about and Shaun was training and or playing. Where was the mother or grandmother in all of this? There is a special place in hell for women who lie about domestic violence or being terminally ill like that horrid girl on 60 Minutes pretending to have cancer. This is the world we live in Johnny. Everyone wants their 15 minutes of fame and someone else to pay for it. This girl appears to be suffering from 'transference' as she has told this story about other men, almost word for word, and this is why she was warned in court 'not to recycle' stories and blame Shaun for something someone else possibly did do to her.

                    • Dear o dear ... Will the verdict be handed down first thing on Mon morning or later in the afternoon?
Whatever the outcome, both parties will not come out of this unscathed.
Also, should SKD be found not guilty of the charges, will Peris made to pay for all of his legal costs?

                          Agree 100% mate.

Not gonna try preempting the court's decision on this but those who abuse systems designed to protect vulnerable women are faaaarked in the head.

Alas, it's very difficult to know for sure what happened inside a private house. For example one guy who I saw get convicted was 18 and with a crazy drug-addicted Filipino girl (who was like 30 and had kids). The guy was this little weedy guy with a fresh face, who was clearly still being dressed by his mother. When arrested he fell for the trap - the cops said 'tell us everything and it'll be done with quickly and you can go home... this is just a common assault, we see them every day'.

So he told all. The story? She had cheated on him and he'd asked why. She went feral, threw stuff at him + picked up and smashed a lass table (trying to throw it at him). She backed him into a corner and started punching him. So... he pushed her over and ran away. She was bruised during the fall.

She was cut that he had walked out so called the cops, had a sob, wrote a damning statement and got photos of the bruise.

Cops charged the guy, left him in the slammer with serious crims (where he was raped) and he was found guilty because the magistrate said he should have run away earlier. Not saying there's a big number of those cases, but I find them some of the most traumatic... when weedy guys get cheated on, bashed and then have their chance at moving on ruined by a criminal conviction for DV. Violent/manipulative women aren't as stupid as wife bashers IMO.
