    • I wonder if that will make the same headlines as when he was charged!!!
There's a reason why the young and idealistic become the old and cynical.
      It's called experience.

        • I am not a smart man, so hopefully someone on here can clear this up:

What are the ramifications for Peris after putting so many accusations on SKD and them being not guilty/dismissed?

                  • Shaun Kenny-Dowall not guilty of assaulting former partner Jess Peris

3 minutes ago Ben McClellanThe Daily Telegraph

Sydney Roosters NRL player Shaun Kenny-Dowall has been acquitted of domestic violence charges
NRL star Shaun Kenny-Dowall has been acquitted of domestically assaulting former partner Jess Peris.

Kenny-Dowall has always denied the allegations and shortly beforer 1pm Magistrate Gregory Grogin found Kenny-Dowall not guilty of all charges.
The Sydney Roosters Centre was charged last July with 11 charges including assault, damaging property, using a carriage service to offend and stalking.
An emotional Kenny-Dowall embraced a large group of supporters, including his father John, with tears in his eyes after the judgment was handed down.
Peris nor her mother Nova were in court.
Mr Grogin said Peris was an “unreliable witness” who gave “calculating” answers when she gave evidence.

Jessica Peris gave evidence that Kenny-Dowall suffered fits of rage. The kiwi international was accused of putting Ms Peris in a headlock, head-butting and kicking her among seven assault charges from October, 2014 to June, 2015.
He denied all charges in Downing Centre Local Court last week but conceded that he grabbed Peris’ bicep “tightly” and damaged her mobile phone during a heated argument in October, 2014.
The 28-year-old told the court on Friday he took the phone to look for evidence that the daughter of Labor Senator Nova Peris had cheated on him.

Following a tumultuous 14-month relationship in which the pair exchanged 40,000 text messages, some of them sexually explicit and abusive, Kenny-Dowall kicked Peris out of his Maroubra unit in June, 2015.
Kenny-Dowall denied that he evicted Peris because he found text messages on her phone of her complaining to her stepfather of his controlling nature.
“He has a massive jealous streak, high insecurity, has fits of rage and always accuses me of lying or cheating,” Peris wrote to Scott Appleton.
The court heard during the hearing that Peris and Kenny-Dowally had a tumultuous relationship. Kenny-Dowall then wrote to Mr Appleton: “I have not touched or hurt Jess physically in any matter whatsoever.”
In the three weeks after the couple split and Peris complained to police she went to the Sydney Roosters asking for money, the use of a car and accommodation for six months which was rejected.
The court also heard an offer of a $20,000 Range Rover and $15,000 was made by Roosters lawyers on behalf of Kenny-Dowall which he denied ever took place.
After these negotiations failed to satisfy Peris went to the police.

Well SKD could go after her in a civil suit but he won't as he doesn't want any Peris' money and wouldn't want to hurt her son.

Jessica like her mother is a narcissist so this will not effect her at all, life just goes on for those 2 and they will continue to savage the taxpayer in whatever way they can.

                        • Yea boi!!! Now he needs to heal his wounds as I believe he's been the victim all along, a public apology could be good, perhaps have that female copper clean his house and put on a nice lunch?

Best remedy getting a double against the scum on Sunday, but I do feel sorry for her kid, skd could have been the best thing in his life, apart from the father? **** that for a mother, lying opportunistic bitch

Nothing. Apart from comments that were proven to be blatant lying, failure to convict just means that she couldn't satisfy the burden of proof. Not that the claims were false. Even though in this instance they may have been.
