Gotta laugh at the 5 voters who think he should play ASAP.
For starters he is not match fit.
What message does this send to Pearce himself? In all reality if he started round one or two, I am afraid he will have learnt pretty much nothing from this unfortunate series of events.
Niko and SOH have been getting their combos with themselves and the rest of the team together.
It could actually destabilise the team.
I am happy for him to return to the team after copping at least a $100K fine and a prolonged period of maybe 6-12 weeks of which he maybe could play 2 or 3 games with Wyong to learn some hard lessons and pick up some match fitness. The 50K fine doesn't cut it for me, from a salary of about $750K plus potential earnings of $100k (if he made Origin) a 50K fine is a drop in the ocean whereas a fine of at least $100K or pro-rata the amount of the games he misses plus training and playing at Wyong for a short period will make him learn the lessions he needs to.
Remember, he was made captain of our great club and the hierarchy showed great faith in him that he had turned around his behavior, attitude and learnt some valuable lessons in 2014 after the yellow dress incident.
Perhaps a stint working at a Donut shop too.
I honestly think he would be better off at a out of town club that is not so much in the spotlight. Maybe the Storm in 2017 would be the best possible move for him.
