Going to war with the NRL over the Pearce punishment

Reports coming through that Nick, Johnny Lee and their lawyer left today's meeting without a resolution on proposed punishment. Apparently the club is pushing for either: a four week suspension and nothing more or a $200k fine.

The North Koreans (NRL) are insisting on 10-12 weeks PLUS a substantial fine.

The Rugby League Players Association has now weighed in arguing that Pearce should not be suspended for any period longer than 8 weeks.

We really need this crap sorted out before Sunday but that shouldn't mean we should just grab our ankles (no pun intended).
