A Good Effort By A Team That Can Build On It.

While i understand the venting after we get beaten,even more so after hitting the lead with 10 to go,i also see the game & the result a different way..

This is a team that can build off a pretty decent effort against a champion team..

I reckon the same side can win Game 2..But i think they are a year off beating Queensland in a series..

The scary thing for NSW is that Queensland beat us without the 2 best centres in the game..

Bird was very unlucky not to get Man of the Match in a losing effort..

We lost by 4. The debutants hopefully will be better for the run. Gasnier, King and Young should be dropped.

I better say something positive,
Jennings and Uate were just what the Dr ordered.
I think Scott has it inside him as well.

Soward needs another game or 2 and I would persist.

While there were some great individual moments of good defense, basically the defense was rubbish
Several players did not show enough committment and the line was generally slow and put no pressure on the QLDers.

It pains me but I think in reality QLD should have been up by 20 at half time.

The only time I saw Soward do anything was when he kicked.

He is, was, and always will be a speed bump.

In attacke we looked a little disorganised. QLD just seem to flow. They are spread out well and at anytime can pull off a slick set play. With the wingers and Slater standing so far back for the kick I was surprised that NSW did not try and little chip over the top.

Stick with the team and build on the attack....

Jennings was a metre and a half faster than anyone else on the field
