Hastings & Nikorima are on fire in the halves & Pearce comes back.. What happens?

Nikorima is a tremendous talent but his diminutive frame will likely need a rest after half a season of 80 minutes stints in first grade. Nikorima won't show his best this season but this season will give him his chance to adapt to grade and make the 7 his own next season. Just as Hastings performances led to us letting maloney go.

Jackson Hasting will play halfback every week unless he is injured, he will be the first one picked, he is the team goal kicker. Pearce will be the first choice 5/8, if Hasting did get injured Nikorima would play halfback & Pearce will be 5/8. Trust me.

Pearce should return on the bench as a backup hooker and utility. Has never impressed me as a halfback, but think he will make a great hooker.

Wyong or off the bench in an impact role in the position most suited to him HOOKER

If Pearce has to come back into the team it should be off the bench after such a long lay off.
A game or two for Wyong would be even better.

Theres is no doubt we need Pearce this year, but I'd happily release him at the end of the season with a year still left on his contract. Not that I hate him as player, I would rather watch new/young talent play.
