  • THE NEW WHIPPING BOY

Last season it was Guerra This year I am inclined due to a few comments to think it will be Dale Copley

For mine it will be Toops, with pressure coming from Burgess

Whilst nominating young Copley In no way do I think he is a bad player On the contrary I saw some things from him at Brisbane where he was devastating with the ball in hand It may though take him some time to find his feet at his new club Hence why Im tipping him to be the new whipping boy

The whipping boy has and always will be Mitchell Pearce.

Sargeant Major Copley wouldn't look out of place in the movie - A Few Good Men

It's already Toops, Burgess is better then him apparently. Pearce also copping mass hate recently.

I think Copley is also a chance. Latrell and Niko if they aren't immortals by round one could also find themselves the whipping boy.

I think Pearce will win hands down. Even during the next 8 weeks he will cop it more than anyone else.

But there should be a special mention for SKD during his time at centre.

SKD is everyones whipping boy.. How long will it take for the "Flippers for hands" or the "runs like a crab" comments to come out.. Mind you I think he has improved alot over the last few years. Then Pearce with his crap bombs, his inability to get a repeat set or "the deer in headlights" comments.

A good friend of mine who is a massive Broncos fan reckons that Copely will be a regular for Australia shortly. He wasn't happy when we signed him.

Yeah I think Pearce might have a claim to the title

pearcey for sure. Even if he sets up ten trys per game people will be calling for him to go after th Aus day incident.

I just want to know who will take stapo's mantle as MVP. I'm tipping Ian "hendo" Henderson.
                          Comment of the year:

Andrew Johns, Semi-Final vs North Queensland ,

"It's touched Lui's hand and travelled forward but that's not a knock on"

It's always been Pearce and will continue to be so even while he's not playing.
He was blamed for last years loss to the Broncos even though he set up two of our tries to Fergo and was off the field injured for the entire second half.
But if you mean who will be the whipping boy aside from Pearce, then I would say Toops, Copley, SKD, Guearra, any of the young debutants as soon as they make their first mistake and Mini for staying on too long and leaving us without a fullback.
