It's way way too early to judge our overall credentials this year...it's a long and demanding season.
I guarantee you some early shiners will fall by the wayside.
We were always going to have a few bumps in the road this year with a newish squad...it's just that it occurred first round against Souths after so much expectation, that people are over-reacting I think.
The young guys getting more experience, return of JWH and Cords and maybe SBW we will finish stronger than most.
Still plenty of talent here and a great coach...have faith.
It's Round 1 versus the Vermin - we are always crap. It's become a tradition.
That's why I detest playing those filthy lowlifes in Round 1. Would much prefer to play another side, as we did last year.
Actually, the games against the Vermin are my least favourite of the year, whenever we play them. At least we get both games out of the way nice and early this year.
Onwards and upwards for Canberra. I'm hoping for a distinct improvement after the reality check of last Sunday.
The biggest disappointment for me on Sunday was the lack of leadership by the senior guys. Closely followed by Fergo's performance at FB - he seemed downright lazy a lot of the time and certainly did nothing to assist the debut wingers.
Best performers for obviously SKD and I was also happy with Pommie Joe. To me he made a better impression than young Latrell did. Certainly made the effort to become more involved.
Supporting the RW&B, through good times and bad times.
Nothing went our way and once Jackson put the ball dead we didn't have it for 15 minutes. In that heat the result was assured.
I think we will get a better showing next weekend. We may not win but the white flag will be left on the bus.
It's a rebuilding year and when we have some of the best in the game in a few short years we will look back at it from great heights. Having said that, with a bit of luck we can do something this season too.
Go EASTS.
It will be all OK we have Ian Henderson & Omar Mittrell to fix things up.

Not sure if a thread was needed for this. stating the obvious.
Once we get rid of the 5th tackle bomb on every set no matter where we are in the field we should reach our true potential. Hasting was following instruction to the letter last week and it resulted in bombing the fifth from sometimes on our own 40m line. Each time we gave Souths the ball on their own 40m thus giving them great field position on tackle one.
Remember the business end of the season is in September not March, the Bunnies always start great.
Yeah look TBH if it's a silver lining:
- Souffs are now all cocky and pretending nothing was wrong behind the scenes
- GI has injured his good knee
- Reynolds is gooone
- Sutton is goooone
I'm expecting them to have a pretty shyte time, partly as a result of beating us.
