  • Pearce needs to learn from his little mate Foran

Foran is such a pleasure to watch. He doesn't have any of the speed or skill attributes of any of the leading halves (including Pearce). Yet he still creates so much space for his outside backs by passing very late and forcing the opposition to commit to him. He gets belted regularly by doing so but he understands the importance of it. The kid has massive ticker.

Pearce on the other hand passes well before the line, and the opposition are just hanging back and laughing at us.

Ballsy...gutsy...creative...backs up anything moving with the ball...outstanding so far in this years comp and it's no surprise why Manly are where they are on the ladder...Foran impresses me more and more each game...

Bullshit, Pearce always plays into the line.

He doesn't commit himself like Foran granted but he doens't pass well before the line what a load of shit. It has it's advantages too...

Go back and watch the sharkies game again. The sharkies players were just hanging back and laughing at us.

Pearce admitted that he has gained a lot of weight without much strength to go with it. That means he has lost agility and the ability to run around defenders. Yet he is still trying to play touch footy. If he is going to have a body more like a forward then he needs to make better use of it like Foran is doing.

wrong. Pearce either does it to the extremity or he doesn't play to the line at all.
              He either:
-attempts to put Maubs into a slight opening/or/ for eg Bird in Origin.. hospital passes at times mind you, but can also be very effective with a good hole runner and a safe pair of hands..
-or passes to the bloke next to him
-or eventually does throw a good cut-out to the line.. this generally seems to be about 60 metres out though

You're kidding yourself if you think Pearce always plays into the line.

Mitch has developed and most of it is normal and age related. Things change..... I think he would make an excellent hooker.

BTW...is it just me or is Foran a Sterlo clone?

Sprinters reach their peak power to weight ratios in their late 20s early 30s. Age related weight gain and speed loss is a myth for anyone under 30yo.

Mitch could be more agile than what he is. He (or his trainers) have chosen to gain weight instead and haven't adjusted his gameplan.

Pity POS and Foran's mum had a split......

JJ will make a great hooker one day.
