This is totally false. Robbo has a massive amount of influence on who is signed/retained. For example you don't really think POS went out and recruited Casty or Henderson do you??

While minor premierships might not matter, winning 3/4 of our games certainly does - which is what Robbo has achieved in the last three years

If you do t believe that just look around this place in the last two weeks!

Robbo has proven to be a very good coach when things are going well, just like Ricky.

It is easy for a coach to get players up for games when you are winning.

Now is the true test for Robbo. Morale must be pretty low around the club after a couple of embarrassing losses and sitting last on the table.

I hope he is as good as everyone on here thinks he is....

Bennett was rubbish with a rubbish team, as will robbo be with this rubbish we have until jnr, cords and jwh are back. Even those guys wont make a difference in their first few games until match fitness and confidence returns.

You're right about that however the big prize is what's still debated between him and Ricky. Until he nails another grand final, it will always be questioned. My main point is that we've kept some players while losing someone like Maloney. I'm sure it's not only up to Trent but he would have a big say in who is more important into his plans. And yes like R6 says, there is a cap issue, I understand but retaining, acquiring and offloading players is becoming an issue. I believe they got it wrong with Copley, for now. I hope to be proven wrong sometime this year but he, Copley needs to prove it over a few games.

Whatever he does, fans are still gonna fire up and call him shyte on forums when we lose a couple of games. So what? People have a right to question somebody's skills, but it's what the professionals think that matters.

I've never been in a job where if I stuff up once I'm fired. If that were the case then nobody would take risks and nobody would get anything done - they'd all sit around doing their job by the letter and trying to cover their bums.

If we get the spoon this year I'll question Robbo. Heck, if we don't improve come round 9 I'll question Robbo. However, I'm not gonna call him the worst coach ever just because we've lost a couple of games. That would be called a premature ejaculation...

I hear so much about him yet I've never seen him step foot on the field? He's a complete passenger and a liability. He has zero impact.
                      Wait Robbo or Pearce?

Sticky has a better CV at the Roosters than Trent, 3 GF appearances will never be matched by any other coach at the Roosters IMO. Trent has also been very successful just like Sticky when they have had top quality teams to coach. Once Sticky lost Freddie the club fell in a heap, Trent is without 7 quality players from his squad from last year. The only coach I know of that has had a top quality side that then lost 12 regular 1st graders from 1 year to the next & went on to win the Minor Premiership is Bellamy,

It's unfortunate that we have to be subjected to another rebuilding year(s).
It was Hastings or BBQ. Maloney wanted a long big cheque final contract, sharks delivered.
