Yet we still had a fresh man on the bench, who we refused to utilise.

    Raiders were much worse off than us yesterday, yet we lose with a 10 point lead against 12 men at one stage.

    Very disappointing.
    PS - why did the Raiders get the ball when BJ was binned?

        Also maloney is 30 and wanted a three year contract. Was great for us over the three years we had him but Pearce and Hastings are a far better bet as we move into the next phase (sex, lies and videotape notwithstanding)

          And then BJ punched Napa getting him sent off. 2nd penalty counters out the first?

            Was weird, but first penalty was by us, and they usually go from the first offence.

              Souths will suffer similarly to us in 2017 though when Inglis, Reynolds, and Keary all walk out the door.
              I'm not talking about whether the club made some stupid recruitment / retention decisions. I am simply pointing out who we have actually lost (for whatever reason) and highlighting that if the same positional players went missing from other teams they would struggle as well.

                Not sure if it has been mentioned yet, but our Bench imploded yesterday,
                *Henderson not used = 3 man bench
                * Vincent injured = 2 man bench
                * Toups injured = 1 man bench

                  Along with our combinations by then.

                    Fullback - RTS
                    Centre - Jennings
                    5/8th - Maloney
                    Half - Pearce
                    Back Row - Cordner
                    Front Row - JWH

                    That is an enormous amount of talent. What would happen if the Cowboys lost;

                    Fullback - Coote
                    Centre - Linnett
                    5/8th - Morgan
                    Half - Thurston
                    Back Row - Taumalolo
                    Front Row - Scott

                    What if the Broncos lost;

                    Fullback - Boyd
                    Centre - Kahu
                    5/8th - Milford
                    Half - Hunt
                    Back Row - Gillett
                    Front Row - Thaiday

                    What if the Bunnies lost;

                    Fullback - Inglis
                    Centre - Auva'a
                    5/8th - Keary
                    Half - Reynolds
                    Back Row - S. Burgess
                    Front Row - G. Burgess

                    What about the Storm;

                    Fullback - Slater
                    Centre - Chambers
                    5/8th - Green
                    Half - Cronk
                    Back Row - Proctor
                    Front Row - Bromwich

                    A bit long-winded but you get what I'm saying.

                    Losing the way we have over the past two weeks is unacceptable...............to the 2013-2015 team. This is 2016 folks and the dream is over. We aren't that team anymore. I am thankful for the great memories, will never stop supporting them, will go to every game I can, will wear the colours proudly as often as I can and I will put up with the garbage that will be dealt up on occasions this year because I am a ****ING ROOSTER and I know that the good times will be back soon.
                    I don't understand your post. We let go of Maloney, RTS and Jennings, they are with other clubs now. How can we claim they are missing from our 2016 squad when we most likey moved them on because of our salary cap pressures. Those comparative players from other teams you have listed are not in the same category as your rooster player list. We only have three players missing from our 2016 squad and now need to move on and look to the future which is not that bad.

                      Don't hate Pearce, but he couldn't organise a root in a brothel.
                      Maloney provided the cool head.

                          We are respected, well run & as fans we need to support our club when we go through the tougher times. Seaon16 has a long way to go & we'll get better.

                              Very good point and I mostly agree.. But the fact of the matter is we are the only club that let that amount of talent leave.. The others didn't.. Either way it has been very poor recruiting and retainment for the next couple of years.. I think we just need to expect and accept yesterday's kind of results over the next two seasons.

                                Maloney failed miserably against Melbourne and Brisbane without Pearce and left it very late against Canterbury. If you believe that Maloney provided the cook head then you are strongly mistaken. He is very good as a support player but he is not a halfback.
