What attributes from Copley have you seen that suggests he's capable of being a star? He lacks lateral agility, top end pace, size or power to play back row, botched a try through poor handling and has been caught out in defence quite a few times in two games. Certainly not blaming him for the two losses but he's nothing more than a temporary player.

You have to remember that he came into our system late in the pre-season
He had to bide his time behind Hodges for a few years and dealt with injuries too
It took Jenko a few weeks to settle in when he came over
Make a judgement call after half a season on whether he was a good buy or not
No he hasn't set the world on fire yet but I think he can play a huge role for us in years to come. Patience, just like we need to show with Lattrell, Hastings and Niko

I'm basing my opinion off the two seasons I've seen him at Brisbane as well. I would have taken maranta over Copley.

Yes but maranta is a gun under the high ball and could have been shifted to the wing with skd and fergo in the centres. If anyone in the team is to be mediocre it should be the winger. Centre is too important to a position. If fergo had more ball on the weekend to get one on one with Croker we would have shit it in. Wingers are rarely accountable for much more than a few early hit ups and taking bombs.

I would sooner play Hendo at fullback then have Maranta in the squad.
