  • 2 rounds Assessment

We all know it's only two rounds but already we are as disappointing as a dropped icecream on a hot day.
    Here's my thoughts:

    1. Lattrell Mitchell: How old, 18? That's ridiculous. Stunning potential. Glimpses only so far 6/10
    2. Daniel Tupou : One game, underwhelming for a SOO player. Please give us a smile mate 3/10
    3. Dale Copley : Coppers, that missed try left me weeping like a baby. Your form is scaring us 2/10
    4. Blake Ferguson : Looks like he's playing injured. Going OK but sumfin's not 100% 5/10
    5. SKD : Reminds me of my accountant-one day I love him, next can't stand him. I'd beat him close to the line and I'm old fat and can't play footy 4/10
    6. Jayden Nikorima : Too much being asked of him so soon, simple as that. Going ok 6/10
    7. Jackson Hastings : Like the bottom few drops of a Shampoo bottle-you know something good is in there, but it's not coming out 3/10
    8. Sam Moa : Some of the punch back against the Raiders 6/10
    9. Jake Friend : Defence still strong but down on last year. Attack ordinary in every aspect. Have to question his captaincy ability 5/10
    10. Dylan Napa : Our toughest but his discipline is as bad as my dog on heat in the Dog walking Park. Our hardest "trier" 6/10
    11. Aiden Guerra : I just want the old Aiden back. Who stole him? Great mystery of the world. 2/10
    12. Siua Taukeiaho : See 11 above. Replace "Aiden" with "Siua" 4/10
    13. Isaac Liu : Maintained his 2015 form. Unfortunately that form is uninspiring. But a guy so nice you'd want your daughter to date, but I digress 3/10

    14. Kane Evans : Fair. Average. Reasonable. OK. Maybe 5/10
    15. Ian Henderson : One question Robbo "Why?" 3/10
    16. Mitchell Aubusson : Our best so far. Love him. Best effect though is on the back of a powerful defence, which we don't have. Not his fault tho 7/10
    17. Vincent Leuluia : Very sad this injury to a real talent (can't score him)

    Thoughts?

Bloody harsh rating there. Anyone would think we are coming last.

What did Henderson do to earn 3 out of 10?

Just going across the line it looks compatible , although opposition have twice the off loads and twice the line breaks ,maybe one relates to the other.
Our kick metres is down a bit.
The interesting stat come with 1x1, missed and ineffective being so high and if my calls are right the worst offenders are all on the same side of the field which by my rechoning means Nickers is being targeted with traffic and assisting defenders are making late decisions putting everyone on that side under pressure , easy fix centre defends hard outside in ( alla Matia ) and inside players defend inside out , get numbers on the ball carrier to cut down the off load.
Good news is we are better disciplined and make less errors than the opposition.

This is the most disappointing aspect of our performances this season for me. Niko needs looking after in defence and so far those assigned the duty have failed him badly. I am certain we will work it out though.

The so called care by the NRL regarding player welfare not evident considering our first 3 games having a 5 day turnaround. 2 games played in scorching heat and the 3rd to be played in NQ heat at nite.
I think all games for the first month should be played at night. the salary cap is suppose to keep a level comp but scheduling of games the contrary

Nikorima is the weak link after 2 rounds because his defence is not up to FG standard & teams are running massive forwards at him & scoring tries. Its not his fault its Pearces fault for stuffing up on Australia Day because otherwise he would have been playing 5/8 over the last 2 weeks & he is the best & toughest halves defender in the game. They miss his experience & defence big time & untill JWH is back to his best they wont be the best pack in the game.

Thats great work, if only it was accurate you must hate SKD and SST or have your eyes painted on to rate them a 4/10, yet give Aubs a 7 lol

I rate them low so I hate them ?? Sounds legit. You aren't Einstein are you? By your reasoning you hate Aubbs. But I know you don't.
I love very Chookie, probably same as you. That' how I've seen it. Send through your ratings.

SKD and Sst have been the best 2 players by a country mile at least a 7 for both these blokes, Aubs tries his heart out but is not an 80 min back rower i understand he has to do this to cover Cordner, but With Lui, Guerra and Maubs in the 3 back row Positions offers little more than a few tackles and a couple of minimal hit ups,

these 3 blokes cannot bend the line and Lui is the only one who looks to offload.
