Recklessly endangering the public is a minor offence compared with a tasteless joke.
Bingo... reckless driving and high-range DUI could (should IMO) land the guy in prison. Instead? Back-page story with people worried more about whether or not the guy will lose his license.
Pearce? Does nothing worthy of criminal charges... but his head's front-page of the paper for a month and everybody asks for him to be sacked. Even after he's suspended for 1/2 the season and given what IMO is an excessive fine, I have mate whinging at me saying:
Lanky soccer guy: why does your club always protect MP? He should have been sacked ages ago.
Me: Can you elaborate? Your team has Packer and Dugan in it... you really think he's up there with them?
Lanky soccer guy: Stop protecting him, you know he shoulda been sacked years ago, he's always in trouble.
Me: I really don't... what trouble has he been in?
PS - random question, what's that shuddering noise when 'fully sick' cars take off? It's like they go up to 70 in 1st gear then slam it into an equally low gear and there's this stupid shuddering noise that they love. I really hate 'fully sick' people (currently trying to get rid of my neighbours who work as hairdressers at a $15 hairdressing shop, but smoke a lot of weed and always drive a 'fully sick' BMW or matte black 'fully sick' Nissan... the noise of it reving and shuddering at night ALWAYS wakes up my son, which is a MF'er because he never sleeps and is tricky to get to sleep).
Ill discipline is the hallmark of a badly run club. You would think the first thing out of the club's mouth would be 'get a cab home, guys.'
It's a young man doing a stupid thing. Bob Fulton can hardly be held accountable. There's no personal responsibility anymore. He broke the law. He should be punished. He should receive a fine of approx 25% of his salary for a year if Pearce is anything to go by.
Is anyone left asking the question exactly how Cummins came to provide a statement to the MRC on behalf of the charged player, Klemmer? Did Hasler phone the voldemort or did Castle? Directly? or via the Referees Association?
Did Bellew ask?
