  • Matt Gillett

Roosters apparently interested in talking to Matt Gillett, as well as the other 15 NRL teams I assume.. Off contract at the Broncos and negotiations have stalled.. Could be an interesting one.. Wouldn't come cheap but would definitely be a very good buy..

With Cords, JWH and SBW to still join the pack? Nah, no way.

If i were Uncle Nick i'd be all over Lachlan Coote like a fat girl on a plate of cupcakes though.

Is there any more news on where things are at with him?

He is an excellent player. However, he strikes me as one of those born and bred Queensland types that is better suited to playing for a Queensland side. Don't see how he would solve any of our issues. Sounds like bullshit really. Is that you Mudgee?

Penrith likely pick him up - Gould is a huge fan

Everyone is a fan of gillett. He's a beast. Would happily trade Guerra for him but you'd think the titans would be in the box seat to sign him if Brisbane can't come to terms. He could stay in qld and make more coin there than anywhere else. Hard to see the broncos letting him go though.

Tedesco, Coote, Hayne, Folau, Holmes, Gillett & Mbye will never be Roosters.

He'll get big $$$ from another club.

The highlighted one is the only one I'd be disappointed in not having.

Terrific player. Would play him with measles.

Mickie Lane is a fine player.

Pearce, Lane halves combo would shred.

Well, that goes without saying. One could hold the other one's hair back while they're vomiting after a hard night on the turps.

I know SBW brings something different, but he'd come for less than SBW, with age definitely on his side.. Gillett type player will become invaluable with the new interchange rules.. Fast, hard hitting, 30+ tackles a game, second rower with ball skills that plays 80mins...

RWB4life - Just trolling for thrills.

Gillett is a Bribie Island junior and is highly unlikely to move very far!

Gillett and Cordner are the new generation of backrowers.

We will be watching them battle it out in Origin for many years to come.

I would have him at Easts in a heartbeat but realistically he is no chance of coming...

                              He runs great hard lines.

But we are desperate for a ball playing second rower. SBW first and then someone else long term.
