All the outside dramas aside, the club lost it's best half, a great centre, a potentially great fullback and several hard as stone forwards. I'm in Canberra TBH didn't even care last night. Knew we were gonna get pumped and just rolled with it. I watched the full 80 too for some reason (usually switch it off when the game is clearly over and we're losing).

Call it a bad thing but I'm resigned to the fact we're a flawed team this year. It makes me quite calm when watching games (no whinging about the refs on 50:50 calls...etc) and gives me a new appreciation of rugby league (I start watching more and more non-Roosters games).

2009 was probably worse because we had an experienced squad and started with a win, so I had this false hope that we might do alright.

Success doesn't breed success, it breeds complacency. And arrogance. Hopefully this will clear out some of the fair-weather fans that only turned up when the Roosters became successful.
