I can't believe any Roosters supporter would hate Skids.
Most I've read on this site or others have the opinion that he's rocks or diamonds.
But even they would admit they've seen worse 3/4s.

I recall Mark Harris being very unreliable with his hands early on, but the last time I mentioned that "on-line" , I got shouted down by the usual suspects...............Gotta love social media???

      Anyrate.
The only year he looked like a centre was 2010.
      I think he's a specialist winger , and a damn good one.
His strike rate for scoring tries, and his longevity in a contact sport , put's him in an elite category.

200 games in the red, white and blue is well deserved on his part, and only true Rooey's will count his grand final effort in 2013 where it truly belongs.

      Congrats SKD.

The Chookpens least to most favourite Rooster.

Ever since the 2013 GF he's been one of our best every week, 2015 he went up a level and he keeps rising in 2016.

After Semi I'd say he's the best winger in the game.

Shaun Kenny-Dowall celebrates the long, winding road to 200 NRL games
ON MORE than one occasion, Shaun Kenny-Dowall was entitled to wonder if he’d ever reach 200 NRL games.
Just last month he was acquitted of 11 domestic violence charges levelled against him by former girlfriend Jessica Peris.
The extraordinary emotional toll got the better of Kenny-Dowall and his family.

One lesson Kenny-Dowall took away from the trying ordeal was to treat every weekend in the NRL like a milestone.
“I want to saviour the time I do have playing this great game, and every week I have the opportunity to enjoy myself,’’ Kenny-Dowall, who becomes just the seventh player at the Sydney Roosters to notch 200 games on Saturday, said.
“I really am enjoying my footy and I want to move forward this season with that mentality.
“I want to make most of the time I do have here.

“Having been so close to losing it all, you definitely appreciate what you do have.’’
If you rewind all the way back to 2007, Kenny-Dowall knows his career could have also stalled after just one game.
Kenny-Dowall has become a mainstay for the Roosters.

His debut was pretty forgettable as he struggled to contain South Sydney flyer Nigel Vagana.
“We lost 18-6 to South Sydney, and I let in two tries,’’ Kenny-Dowall said.
“It wasn’t the best debut but one I remember. I had Nigel Vagana who was still playing for Souths. I had a joke with him the other day, and he still remembers that game pretty clearly. It was pretty embarrassing.’’
Kenny-Dowall has become one of the most important and popular players at Bondi.
He joins Kevin Hastings, Brad Fittler, Craig Fitzgibbon, Luke Ricketson, Anthony Minichiello and Mitchell Pearce in the elite 200 club. His 112 tries also makes him the second top tryscorer behind Minichiello (139).
Kenny-Dowall has been one of a very select few who have aimed up for the Bondi club in the opening three rounds.
And if the Roosters are any hope of opening their account on Saturday night against Manly at Allianz Stadium, their winger will need a big game.
Jessica Peris leaves court earlier this year during the court case against Shaun Kenny-Dowall.

Being without the suspended Pearce, and injured Boyd Cordner and Jared Waerea-Hargreaves, as well as the busted up Daly Copley and utility Ian Henderson, the Chooks’ depth has been put to the test earlier than most.

One thing in their favour on Saturday will be the suspension to Sea Eagles enforcer and Kenny-Dowall’s Kiwis teammate Marty Taupau.
“I’m glad he’s out this week and I don’t have to run into the big bloke,’’ Kenny-Dowall said with a grin.
“He’s a big asset to that team, and thank God he’s not playing this week.’’
Kenny-Dowall said the Roosters needed to quickly improve their defence - they’ve conceded a staggering 103 points in three games - and also come up with smarter options at the end of their attacking sets.

Never remember being so excited as a rugby league fan let alone roosters fan when he took that intercept in 2010 to beat tigers. Best game of league ever and my favourite ever roosters game-including our grand final wins. 200 games, getting close to leading club try scorer. I hope they replay that try for all in attendance at the game in wknd.

He is one of the very few non-spine players in the game that can conjure something out of nothing.

I think people sometimes forget what a rare talent he is, and his line breaking, tackle busting, try scoring abilities are right up there with the best in the game.

He has shown some outstanding form in a beaten team this year. He was bloody exceptional last week and this was in a game where we got belted. Tellingly, he was the only player in our team who posed any genuine threat in attack.

You can see in his body language that he has a massive point to prove and I have a sneaking suspicion that when this team comes good - which it will - he will become the top winger in the comp alongside Radradra.

              Go hard Skidsy!

One of the best ever threequarters to play in the red, white and blue. He's not been without his flaws, but he has shown freakish ability, a big heart, and a love for the club that we all love so much as well.

He spat out a tooth and fractured his jaw in the first half before gritting his remaining teeth and playing out the full game in our magnificent Grand Final triumph in 2013; he scored the game-winning try in arguably one of the most amazing games in our club's history in that final against the Tigers; he was the best centre in the world in 2010; he has never played for another NRL club; he's been there signing countless autographs and posing for countless photos with fans throughout the years, scored more tries for our club than anyone except Mini; he's becoming one of only a handful of players in Rooster's history to play over 200 games for our club; and he's stayed with the Roosters when I'm sure he could have gone elsewhere for more money.....

He deserves all the accolades he gets this weekend, and I'm sure he will be one proud Rooster....

                  Go the backpacker!
