Our players tend to get off most charges too, take off the tin-foil hat

I honestly can't remember the last time one of our players 'got off'.

The current (ongoing) debacle in relation to the contrary conduct charges for touching refs vis a vis the stance taken against Sam Moa last year is a good example of how the match review committee and the judiciary can be a lottery. I've given up trying to make sense of it all.

Taupau and Brenton Lawrence both charged and will miss Saturday.

Only facing one week. Should have been four.

It was deemed 'careless' and not 'reckless.

A very, very late swinging arm to the jaw. Careless, not reckless? Yep, sure. You guys know what you're doing.

I think if both do early pleas, Taupau gets ONE week lol, Laurence plays Saturday.

And this is the reason why I have no faith in the judiciary system...... If it was James Graham, or JWH definitely tougher charges and longer suspensions

Manly’s Brenton Lawrence was also charged with dangerous contact on Michael Ennis, and due to 65 carry over points will also miss Saturday’s match against the Roosters.

One week lol. Should have been a bloody send off. Meanwhile sonny gets 3 weeks for a good shoulder charge.

He copped a charge, which neither incident was worth.

The Tapau hit was worse than JWHs on George Rose in 2013 which resulted in a send off AND a 5 week ban.

1 week is enough for us plus Lawrence watching from the stands is another bonus.

                          We need to win!

He didn't get off - he wasn't charged for one incident, and didn't fight the other.

So now he has carry over points which no doubt will come back and bite us in the arse later in the season.

If we're talking about getting away with something I thought the shot by napa was worth a week. Seen less cop suspensions. Agree that taupaus was as bad as any I've seen for a while. I thought he'd get 3-4 for it. And he should have been sent due to how late it was.

This is the Roosters best chance to get their first win on Saturday night. Roosters will have had a 10 day turn around whilst Manly will have had a 5 day turn around, it is a home game for the Roosters & Manly will be without Taupau & Lawrance according to 2026.
Hopefully the Chooks can do it.
