This is the Roosters best chance of a win so far. The Roosters have a 10 day turn around compared to Manly's 5 day turn around, it's a home game for the Chooks which is an advantage & much better than playing at Brookvale Oval plus Manly have their 2 best aggressive metre eaters out.

Come on Chooks get that defence in order & you could possibly win the game.

It is a significant drop in grade from last week for us Im not sure we have enough points in us to win though

I have said I think they should start with 7 forwards so if its true I think it is a good move, I would probably go with Maubs not Guerra but its all about defence at the moment so either is OK.

So the line of thought is, "We haven't got a good enough 5/8 so let's just play without one".

It's our best chance yet. I didn't care last week, but if we lose this one I'll be disappointed.

I think that part of the problem lat week is that we lost... then we had no time to train in between - so it was just like 'try your best up in NQ guys'. Really dangerous how the NRL did that to us IMO - and it cost us 2 players for the season. I'm hoping to see us play a better rounded game this week with more structure.

Also, that effing right corner!!!! I do NOT want to see any more soft tries scored over there!!!

Play Guerra or Maubs at 5/8 & play the game in Manlys half & just defend. If & when the time is right I would interchange Friend with Nikorima.

Been like that for many years, just more obvious at the moment.

While our defence has not been very good at all we cannot over compensate for this and become too defensive as we have also struggled in attack scoring only 30 points for the season which only the St George Dragons have scored less this season so far and a couple of our tries this season have been through individual efforts which is not a good sign for our ability to score points.

So while we may be able to keep the opposition scoring down this week it might just be enough for them to only need 16 points against us to win. Our forwards have not created enough go forward and our halves have not kicked well enough for territory.

Is it worth switching Gurerra to the left fringe, as isn't this where he plays for Qld?
This could have 2 benefits for us:
1) Does not suffocate Fergo and SKDs attack
2) Added responsibility with defending alongside Hastings and Elliot
