Where do you come up with that? Everyone I know that supports Easts lives in the East or has come from the East or has family from the East. Everyone I work with outside the Eastern Subs hates us. Good to know we have a lot of support from outside the traditional areas though, we do need more support!

There is a good percentage of Roosters outside of the Eastern Suburbs these days and also many Roosters supporters in Western and North Western Sydney would find Gosford as easy if not easier to get to as Moore Park.

yeh mate I am. Im not having an argument just saying how I see it. I'm born and bred Eastern subs so that's what I know. I'm not saying we don't have fans in other areas of Sydney I'm just saying what I know and that the majority of fans live in the Eastern Subs.

Having the government commit so much money to develop our current stadium can only be a good thing for fans and the club in the long term. Hopefully the NRL don't call Politis' bluff as that is all it is. He just doesn't want the other clubs to get a financial leg up.

1. I grew up in Paddo... lived in Japan and am now in Canberra. I go to as many games as possible. Can't say I'm a 'bandwagon' fan... I just didn't find a job near where I lived as a kid (and couldn't afford to raise a family there even if I did) - the market's competitive.
2. My wife was born in Vietnam and married a mad Roosters fan. Go figure...
3. Son's 5 months old, born in Canberra and is a member (who has already been to 2 Roosters games).
4. I meet heaps of bogans who grew up in the east (when it wasn't prohibitively expensive) and they will wear ooold old Roosters jerseys to the RSL club. I'm sure they'd all have Double Bay mansions instead of govie flats in Canberra if they could afford the move.

Anybody's allowed to support a team and we all have our reasons. If all easts fans HAD to live in the eastern suburbs then NOBODY would go to games.

I follow easts because my Dad and Grand dad did. They have never lived in the Eastern Suburbs. I'm not gonna listen to local team supporting talk from a weird Roosters supporter. Support who ever you want from wherever you want. Roosters

When I asked Ted Helliar if the Roosters were a business or a franchise he was adamant they are a business. Yet in all respects they operate and are treated like an NRL franchise.

40 years roosters supporter here who was born in the west of Sydney but spent most of my life living in the bush and the bush capital. Guess that makes me a bandwagon fan lol.
