  • Roosters board meeting today threatening to move 4 games to central coast

seems we are going to war with the NRL again, this time over the NRL offering to pay the likes of Manly/Cronulla/Tigers/Merge to play more games at the new Moore park stadium to meet the quota of NRL games demanded by the NSW government to fork out the money to rebuild Allianz.

we have threatened to take games away from Allianz if we aren't also compensated.

Stuff the new stadium. Do they even have permission to build it yet?

Don't want to get political, but if the people running this state reckon that a new stadium is more important than say, a hospital, or housing the homeless or proper funding for some lower socio-economic schools then they're even dumber than I gave them credit for.

Then again, we are talking about Casino mike, so I suppose there's an earner in it for him somewhere.

Just Nick keeping the NRL on their toes I think. 4 games on the Central Coast wouldnt be the best idea IMO.

Great news! The club needs more support at games and its not that far to travel for the fairdinkum supporters, Wyong is our new territory and should be if the club wants to grow and go forward into the future.

Watched them play the Titans up there last year, lowest game of the season by far. Not a bad stadium to watch the footy at

Probably from the bastards who slung the libs money to fund the 2011...what now seems like a coup d'état. Whether it was letting his 2IC work at the Crown or wanting to carry the corpse of that lawyer out of the Lindt Cafe (before his hard right Stormtroopers were found to have murdered her that is), Baird is a low bastard. He is turning out to be a lib in the mould of John Thomas Ley or Robin Askin without the poker ability.

                  Nice move.

The problem is the idiot clubs that insist on playing at their shitty suburban grounds. They are a chance of blowing the whole $1.8bn deal.

What's the deal with them charging members for home games? When I signed up, they advertised a set number of games. I resent the fact that Easts have a habit of changing this number mid-season after I've already paid for my membership.

Also, what's dping with the central coast? If the Titans become the Bears then what... we just lose it after all this work?

We represent the Eastern Suburbs of Sydney.
You are obviously based close to central coast.
No Rooster supporter who wasn't close to the central coast would suggest this is a good idea.

The way most of our fair weathered supporters are we could move back to Henson and not fill it

"We represent the Eastern Subs of Sydney" Exactly right! Taking one or two games to the CC is fine but any more and all we do is give the traditional Eastern Subs fans the shits. If the club wants more support it needs to actually get out into the community and calling us the Eastern Sydney Roosters would be a great start to reconnecting with that local community.

The Roosters may represent the Eastern Suburbs of Sydney, but the majority of our supporters do not live in the Eastern Suburbs of Sydney,

Where do you come up with that? Everyone I know that supports Easts lives in the East or has come from the East or has family from the East. Everyone I work with outside the Eastern Subs hates us. Good to know we have a lot of support from outside the traditional areas though, we do need more support!
