May be a superstar of the future, but is a cat now. The way he returns the ball and laying down from that 'hit' is a joke. Imagine if he had SKD's heart.

What other choice do we have at the moment for fullback ?

Yes he is making a few mistakes every game and his defence needs alot of work but it's better than fergo.

it was never the plan to play him at fullback this year, circumstances have meant he has been thrown to the wolves.

unfortunately he is just going to have to learn on the job.

the two things he has to work on can't be fixed this season, he needs another pre-season to strip 5-6kg off his frame, he currently doesn't have the tank to be a first grade fullback, this is purely on the head of Robbo/Conditioning staff, if he can't handle the physical demands for the position he shouldn't be selected, that isn't his fault that is squarely on Robbo.

the second issue is tied to the first, because he isn't fit enough he lumbers back on kick returns, just watch him attack in try scoring opportunities, he is a completely different proposition.

No I'm not saying we have a better choice at the moment, but seriously run back with some purpose. I'm not saying he is to blame for our predicament, there are plenty of others in front of him responsible that

He had a very ordinary game tonight and will probably produce a few more this season.

However - when the game was on the line, he wanted the ball in his hands. Great sign.

Exactly, we have given this leeway to other players waiting for 10 yrs and counting for some of them to make the next step,

He had a shocker of s game, but I think he showed plenty of promise at other times as well. Looks like he'll develop into a good first grader, although the superstar tags attached are probably a bit much at this stage.

The biggest problem has already been mentioned by fletch, though. He was not trained all off season to play fullback, and it is showing.

The retarded decision to play Ferguson at fullback is ruining our season

My thoughts too. He will be a special player one day. The guy is 18, playing in a terrible team down on confidence. He made a few terrible errors and most kids his age would have been looking for a hole and willing the nightmare to be over. Instead he goes looking for the ball and trying to make up for his mistakes. The only myth in this thread is some jerk named Kelby.

Has any player in the history of rugby league ever had more head pats in 80 minutes? I couldn't work out if the Manly players were consoling him or telling him up your jumper. Such a shame that last try was denied as you could tell how happy Latrell was when he thought he had redeemed himself with the winning try after what he knew was a shocker. Don't forget he also created the overlap and threw the "definitely backwards but then rolled forward" pass for the try before.

I have high hopes for young Latrell.

They weren't consoling him. They are revolting.

I was disgusted that not a single rooster got up in the manly scums' face after the procession of head patting ****s for his first error.

Napa at least laid out The hallway shitter, but someone should have had trovojovic by the throat.

Another sign of a terrible team attitude that no one came to his aid
