  • Still can't fault the effort, passion & desire

    But man that one hurt.

Not sure how they ruled Aubusson offside but regardless we should've still won that.

That's two games we've thrown away because losing is contagious.

It's such a shame that some of the more senior players in Friend, Guerra and Evans are letting the side down.

    So many stupid errors.

    Great effort. God awful execution.

The question needs to be asked to the club where are there future plans ?
How can you let a 90% strike rate gold kicker go without any back up plan ?

Disgraceful. We would be 2 / 4 if we had a decent gold kicker.

Evans a senior player, please!! He is still a pup and without the big dogs around him, is an ordinary pup at best.

Some really dumb plays and mistakes, Latrell made a couple of howlers but still is by far the best option at fullback, Fergo's arm grabbing in defence is terrible but good try to him, Hastings kick for SKD a mirror for the same thing in the semi last year., some really dumb mistakes but the effort was there and then the howler of a decision from the video bunker to deny the last try to the Roosters.

I fail to see what Evans did so wrong. 1 error and 1 pen but thats hardly an offence considering that performance.

              I bet Pearce is hiding.

He's soft, not a strong hitup for a man of his size and has very poor ball control. he always look's like he's in slow motion imo. He just hasn't kicked on like we all hoped he would.

Very disappointed. Ferguson is as woeful in reading defence as he is brilliant in attack. Tupou is an impostor. Just not first grade standard at the moment. Aubusson - one of my favourites - was a complete non-entity. Friend took many poor options. Evans and Napa are both struggling to assert themselves. Latrell had his worst game so far but I forgive him, they were just the errors of a young fella learning his trade. SST & SKD again our best. Do we just lack confidence or is there a deeper issue? I dunno. I'm sure they are working hard. And I will cheer them on again next week and hope their hard work is rewarded with a win. We will be alright. We are the Roosters.

Effort, Passion & Desire is not enough to win games. Application and execution must underpin the total 1040 mins on the park.

                        You are right there.
So close but yet so far just like Canberra. It could have been 2 from 4 but things are just not going their way. Geez that's disappointing about what happened tonight, I thought a win was on for sure. Ive lost my voice.

I'm a bit surprised by the reaction from some in here tonight.

We were the better team tonight, I thought easily the better team. We simply did't have the application/experience to put the Eagles away. We could have easily put on at least another two tries.

It was great to see our pack making fantastic inroads - Moa, Napa, SST, Lui all had big games, and the Fro and Frei performed admirably as well. I thought Friend overall also had a good game - it was criminal that there was no support from Tupou, Elliot and co when he made that dummy half run midway through 2nd half. That was a deadset easy try gone begging.

As for Maubs disallowed try - what a blunder from the officials, that was a deadset try. Both feet were onside, as can be evidenced by pausing the video frame and getting out a ruler!

Obviously the goal kicking is a major issue - hopefully Hastings gets better as the weeks roll on. Does anyone know what were his kicking percentages were in the lower grades?

Most of all, awesome to see the whole team turn up with a great attitude. Good things are coming.

His run metre ave was on par with all our other forwards.

Hasnt kicked on like we thought he would? He is a baby in front rower terms.

We're still playing the same brand of football we did last year yet we've let go or lost some high quality players. Surely Robinson must've recognised a simpler style would be better with the departures of Jennings, Maloney and RTS? He had to have recognised it when he knew JWH, Pearce, and Cordner would be gone for a large part of the season. Why not make the changes with a young 1,6,7 instead of having teams put 20+ on us each game?
