He had to have recognised it when he knew JWH, Pearce, and Cordner would be gone for a large part of the season. Why not make the changes with a young 1,6,7 instead of having teams put 20+ on us each game?
And what brand of footy as you call it should we be playing? You have been one of those people who have bagged out our team during 3 highly successful seasons so nothing at all pleases you except for losing.

Spanner, we did take a new game plan into last nights game , the question should be why didn't we keep it oing in the second half ?

First half we played a power game , which suited the personel on hand -hard direct Rucking straight back behind the markers ,engaging up to 4 defenders each time and wearing out specific targets . This was successful.
The second half we tried shifting laterally running cross feild , this didn't wok hasn't so far this year , so why now ?
I am sure Robbo said they need to earn the right to go lateral by setting the platform up the middle.

Everything pleases you - even when we lose. I think you probably work for the club's PR team.

Yes, I know. Changing game plans mid-game is a directive from the coach, no one else, especially when you have young halves. Robinson really isn't the coach I expected him to be when he has a squad who has come back to the pack.

Personally I'd condense our defensive line, kick into space rather than for our wingers to earn repeat sets, and run two off the ruck rather than shifting wide. Bring in Ferguson and co when the opportunity presents, not with every opportunity.
