The problem is Guerra was out there for 80 minutes at 5/8 and made 16 tackles. Hastings made 21. Nikorima made 10 in about 15 minutes. Guerra is custard mate. The team tried hard. He didn't.

Guerra needs to be plonked in the middle of the field and left there, his reading in defense on the edges is embarrassing, he will take the bait on the decoy runner (that is covered by his inside defender) EVERY single time, it's quite comical.

Yes, because Manly chose to run at Nikorima - who wouldn't?

I agree wholeheartedly with this post. He is a shadow of his former self I believe. Doesn't run hard and has a case of the dropsies at the moment.I think needs to go down a grade for a while to get some hunger back. Nikorima is definitely not of first grade standard at the moment and Ferguson's defensive reads are deplorable. Our best player by FAR at the moment is SKD. That all aside, a much better display then previous weeks. oh, we definitely need better goalkicking too but who can do it??

Mate I dont know what they should do but I thought the Guerra experiment sort of worked. I think teams have identified Nikorima as the weak link which I also thought but Fergusson is also making some nervous decisions & not helping his inside man with his over reads but I would persevere with Guerra again for the Warriors game. Its not Nikorimas fault but I just dont think he is a 5/8 he is a interchange number 9 IMO they have a problem in the halves until Pearce is back.

People defending Guerra are loyal but off the mark. The club has hit though times on the field and we need our senior, representative players to stand up and lead by example. The amount of coin a rep player attracts by default means he should be under pressure, let alone the fact he does not display a single trait of a Queensland origin player ie grit, determination and toughness.

                Top of the class.

The bigger problem is why Guerra is seemingly safe at this club and why any criticism if ever acknowledged, is always deflected.

Regardless of what people thought of the Guerra experiment tonight,

It is just amazing that we are in a position that the coaching staff believed that Guerra was our first choice 5/8 for this game...

I think he fulfilled an important role, stiffening up a key weak link in our defence whilst providing tradesman-like five eighth duties.

I'm a bit surprised by the overall reaction here tonight. We were the better team,

Guerra came up with 2 absolute clangers in the last 10 minutes of the game (which snuffed out any chance we had to salvage the win) and he made a few belters earlier on too. He played better in the first half than he had done so all year but he aint a 5/8ths ar*eh*le nor he is playing well enough to have a mortgage on a backrow spot either. He looks unfit, he was gassed even though he was playing 5/8th tonight and had a rest for 10-15 minutes, then comes out and has an absolute Barry Crocker for the last 10.

He is a senior player and probably on the second biggest money in the 17 presently playing after Friend but you could be forgiven to think he a 6 game rookie. He is simply not delivering what you would expect a decent first grader with rep experience would do and even less than some of our rookies tbh.

Don't get me started on Fergo who was never a great defender but is close to the worst defender in the team at the moment.

That is exactly x 2 , Mikey ! I would persevere with him at 5/8 there are worse options.

Guerra has been a ****ing log for 18 months now. Should have been cut loose last year in order to keep Maloney

Lmao - put in the team to cover up a weak link in defence.

2/3 tries scored on his side.

No alternative kicker in general play. More pressure on Hastings.

It was a clanger by Robbo.

Look I actually agree with you, Guerra has been awful all season and definitely a liability, however why is it you continually protect the Teflon one, he has had many games where he has produced 3 or more howlers that cost us a win, yet you fail to criticize him.

                                Guerra is unbearable.

And no, he is not "the new shipping boy".

He has been garbage for ages.
