Do you think Guerra is coached to not pass the ball?
He passed once in this game. Even a dummy to pass might help throw the defense.
His favorite player must have been Ricko.

Its not Nikorimas fault but I just dont think he is a 5/8 he is a interchange number 9 IMO they have a problem in the halves until Pearce is back.
Niko has never been the weak link - the weak link is the defensively challenged dumb and dumber of Ferguson and SKD who tend to get in each others way, thereby creating a passage for the opposition to score. SKD won't stay on his wing, rushes in to assist Ferguson and a great gaping hole is created. And those two clowns trip over each others feet, rather than tackle someone.

No doubt they will both claim they are trying to help out Niko, but that went out the window when they just as challenged defensively when Niko wasn't there. Ferguson in particular is disgraceful in defence. And with his size and frame there are no excuses, apart from sheer laziness and lack of effort.

Frustrating that we had to move SST out to right edge because Guerra can't sort his shit out and Pearce is a moron.

Niko's ineffective & missed tackles tally are on par with the Qld S.O.O rep players... not bad for a pint sized rookie 4 games in in his NRL career. What's Guerra's excuse?

Guerra is copping it as bad as SKD pre-2014.

Maybe it's deserved but I hope he as turn around just as big.

Nah I think we have seen the best of Guerra pre broken jaw, It wouldn't supprise me if the club told him to look around and he ended up at the Gold Coast on a 3 year deal for his retirement before heading to SL.

Fergerson shit .....Guerra shit.......Maubs shit..... Niko shit..........
The problem lies with in the halves and the skipper.
The halves are way to underdone to steer the ship at this stage and I am dissapointed in Friend as the skipper ....not much talking out there except when we are standing behind the goal posts .
Chooks are not far from "winning" as Charlie Sheen would say ......But I cant see us beating the Warriors but Miracles happen ..if we can kick a goal tighten our edge defence and kick big kicks we are a chance but thats about it.

I am stunned at the defence of Guerra playing 5/8. He was again completely out of breath at half time. He had nothing in the tank before being replaced around the 60th minute, may have been a few minutes later. Even after a 10 minute rest, when he came back on he missed the first tackle he attempted, stone cold. He only made 16 tackles all match but had nothing left.. The guys problems are simple, his core fitness is way down from what is required of a starting first grade backrower. He also looks soft, there is no muscle tone whatsoever and he lacks a punch in defence as a result. Let's not even get into his inability to create any second phase or simply pass the ball. I would have preferred Isaac Liu at 5/8, at least he has some semblance of footballing nous and passing ability. That said Niko should have played.. We just put even more pressure on Hastings by pairing him with Guerra.

Also hilarious are people who thought Niko should have just come on and carved up when he came on so late in the game. By then we were down by 6, our team was out on their feet. There was no go forward from the pack, and when Guerra came back on, he once again got in the way. Guerra should rotate with Liu at Lock and play no more than 40 minutes, he cannot play longer without fading badly. It also keeps him in midfield so hopefully he can stay out of the way in attack.

What could explain Guerra's lack of fitness though? The guy completed pre-season training so if his conditioning is not good enough again I ask why? Was he injured? Is it a staffing issue? Is Guerra looking for an immediate release back to the homeland and a spot at the Titans?

                            +1

Nikorima went from messiah to wyong in the space of 3 weeks.

20 year old half who is trying his heart out in a dissapointing team. Young players thrive on confidence. Just look at Mitchell.

I think there may be a great player in there. Just have to be patient.

I mean we have been patient with Pearce for 200 odd games.

If anything I think Horrie has been more disappointing.

In the last few minutes Guerra drifted across field with the ball and Niko came inside to a huge gap.

But. of course, Guerra hogged it and got tackled.

One can only wonder what is going through Niko's head and what he's got himself into. That passage of play sums up season 2016 right there. Clueless.
