  • My key points vs Manly

    * We won the penalty count (again), but couldn't convert this into pressure or points
    * We could have closed off this match had Friend put in a better kick from a really positive set when we had them on the rack
    * Fergo's defence is poor. In fact, very poor
    * SST is wasted in the fringes - I think he is more effective in the middle
    * Guerra has the slowest play-the-ball in the world
    * It is now 2 games we have lost because of goal kicking
    * I was listening on sports ears for this game and the refs were repeatedly warning Manly to stop "overcrowding" the ruck, give more room and keep hands away. They should have been pinged a whole lot more or someone sent to the bin. The spoiling tactics throughout the whole game obviously affected our momentum and rhythm
    * Mitchell had a few mistakes in him but also shows signs of being a superstar

    Key points

    We had 9 days...
    • to prepare against a depleted Manly side coming off a 5 day turnaround and a heavy track.
    • to begin to focus on application and execution as individual players and as a team.
    • to establish some lines of communication and of play.
    • to focus on performing for the full 80 mins with these goals, and nothing else in mind, to secure 2 valuable competition points.

There are 187 days left to the 2016 NRL GF.

      Key points.
When you lose RTS, Maloney, Jennings & Matagi you have loss 4 first graders then you lose Pearce, JWH, Cordner, Henderson & Copley that makes 9 players that have to be replaced.
Ease it up. Things arnt going right this year no matter how hard they try.
