It's not that simple Mario. If u didn't like your boss then eventually over time it would grate on you more and more and if you are unhappy then generally speaking you won't perform your job at your best. Especially so in terms of such a physical sport like league where if u are 1% off your game or mental approach then it can mean the difference between winning or losing those tight games.

I'm not saying that's what's happening but it's not as easy as saying that they should always play for themselves first or the fans etc.

A team, regardless who is coach, should play for themselves first and foremost.

You go out each week, play next to these boys week in week out........you should be playing for your team, they are the only ones who can decide the result.

The coach can put any game plan in place, but it does not work if the players do not play for each other.
      100 % correct Mario

The reason you cant take league players seriously as proffesional athletes,is because everything is a drama, they don't like the coach, they don't like what position they play, they get homesick (FFS),they don't like their team mates, they need to have "no drinking" pacts,

And to top it off they want the big bucks as well
You want the big bucks act like ****ing professionals
They are so tough and brave ooooh
"They only have a limited career"...well stop whinging and carrying on and make the most of your career
How sad is it that a player cant reach their true potential unless Mr Handshake is holding their cocks and whispering sweet nothings to them

"We played for ourselves last year" so do it again, show some self respect and pride in yourselves at the very least....is it so ****ing hard

I'm sick to death of players not liking coaches, trainers, gear carriers, ground keepers etc.

Their job is to play football.

        For farks sake.

These blokes need a reality check.

They would be lucky to flip burgers without footy.

Some of them would be importing drugs and doing armed blags if they weren't playing football.

They are soft cocked mummies boys. We have the softest in our senior ranks. Real fist magnets id love to smack about the head to wake them up.

"One punch can kill" ...we can't be having any violence.

One has to be tough to play footy.
This year they're just not going well, for a variety of reasons:

              Sea Eagles resurgence.
              Lockyer too good.
              Cowboys resurgence.
              Penalised out of games.
              Mistakes made under pressure.
              Injuries.

Sorry mate, but I call bullshit.

I just see a list of excuses there.

Sea Eagles "resurgence" ? Resurgence my arse, they just played tough footy and smashed our soft blokes off the ball.

Lockyer too good? Whatever. We beat them last year, Locky and all.

Cowboys "resurgence" ? Once again, no resurgence here... that game was there for the taking in the first 20, we could have grabbed it by the neck and rolled them, but didn't have the guts to do it, hell, we couldn't even hold the ball... a good side would have put 50 on us that night, Thurston and co. just went through the motions.

We can't catch, we can't finish, we have a few players who care marred by blokes bludging through 80 minutes for the pay check at the end of the tunnel.

Injuries and refereeing don't explain the fact that we have some of our highest paid doing the least work. They don't explain the fact that we have no structure to our game. It doesn't explain why Smithy won't wake up and smell the roses. We're in trouble, big time.
