Manu is simply not ready for 1st grade yet... I though the team last week was brilliant and have improved immensely from a 5 day turnaround at different states of the country. Guerra did well last week as I find it weird that you would leave him out of the team.

In fact the inclusion of Burgess is a good one as he is twice as fast as the Warriors ageing backline with Vatuvai, Asyford on the same side together....

I don't think it will be long before we see SKD shift to centre to accomodate Burgess on the wing. Like most, I think SKD is best on the wing but he's also a solid centre - showed that in 2010 and 2011 and in 2013 when he was playing inside RTS.

My thoughts were to put a side on the park that were at least willing to have a go at working things out for themselves. No head diver in the side this week with carte blanche directives from the coach... maybe this is the background for your post? At times like this it's not always just about ability... attitude and 'clear heads' can at least point in the right direction.

            Re Guerra;

Against NQ we finally saw some effort from him in amongst the stupidity as the stats show. In return Robbo decided in his wisdom to immediately elevate him to superstar status by playing him @ 5/8 where he returned to his usual nonsense. IMO he should have failed him on his NQ efforts and kept the pressure on.

            Re Nikorima;

5 rounds in and we are yet to see Nikorima play with some options... if he is to be the cornerstone of this side in years to come it needs to start happening soon. How many games do we have to lose before we see 1 out runs and the miracle play isn't the way to go. Just my 2c

Perhaps if his forwards provided a little more grunt, go forward and room to move for the kid he might have a few more options. Same goes for Jacko.

These young blokes need the guys up front to be standing up and doing their job before we expect them to do theirs at this stage of their careers. I reckon Maloney and Pearce would be struggling to create something as well if they were the halves, given our forwards have been on the back foot most of the season.

                    Thanks for the props Double

                    I'd personally prefer the following:

                    1 Latrell Mitchell
                    2 Daniel Tupou
                    3 Brendan Elliot
                    4 Blake Ferguson
                    5 Shaun Kenny-Dowall
                    6 Mitchell Aubusson
                    7 Jackson Hastings
                    8 Sam Moa
                    9 Jake Friend
                    10 Dylan Napa
                    11 Aiden Guerra
                    12 Isaac Liu
                    13 Sio Siua Taukeiaho

                    14 Kane Evans
                    15 Eloni Vunakece
                    16 Mitchell Frei
                    17 Jayden Nikorima

I don't think Elliot was that bad (certainly not bad enough to be dropped after one game) and I don't believe Manu is ready for first grade defensively.

I am a Burgess fan, but I don't think we can afford an Elliot/Burgess combo on one side at this stage.

Begrudginly, I think Tupou must remain for now given his experience. It'll be a different story once we get our senior lads back though. He needs to get a bit aggro, he always looks like he is about to cry whenever he is pushed back by the defence, horrible to watch at times.

Maubs MUST be five-eighth! I'm a fan of Nikorima's but we cannot afford to have him starting. I'd have him on for 20 mins or so to give Friend a breather and wreak some havoc with his running game.

I'd move Fergo to add some strike power down the left edge.

                      Mitchell
                      Toups
                      Fergo
                      SKD
                      Burgess

Last week Robbo worked out that we are better off having a forward at 5/8th than Nikorima. This week I am hoping Robbo works out we are better off having a forward on the bench than Nikorima. He is miles off first grade at the moment.

Hastings WAS and always has been the chosen kicker but has been carrying a quad injury. Robbo has not stuffed up in the goal kicking department as many on here are suggesting. His first choice kicker is hampered by injury.

You are correct. There is a lot of over reaction to our start of the season but the truth is that everything that could possibly have gone wrong has gone wrong and our coach is dealing with it in the best way possible. We will finish the season in much better shape than we started.
