It was a rough decision but time to move on imo. The result is not going to be changed.

Why don't we use this in all the games?

The blue line is in the wrong spot, add another foot to that as the line starts at MItchells back foot, not the foot kicking the ball

Need to factor in the parallax error - it's not as black & white as it seems ...
But even taking this into account, I thought Aubs was clearly onside!

Still no apology from Archer the tool.

The image on NRL Memes/Facebook is to scale and clearly illustrate Maubs is onside.

That decision alone has killed our season.

It doesn't matter whether he was on side at the kick (which he was) because Mitchell went forward putting him onside anyway. Aubbo caught the ball well behind him.

It's not so much that the decision was made in error. The Ref's boss (who is it this month?) had the audacity to state the decision was right. I'd like his judgment on the St George GF touch ruling...

I watched the Bronco's match last night whilst chatting with a friend on the phone and predicted how they would manage the result. Once Broncos dropped the ball they ensured the Broncos won with a timely penalty inside the quarter. Previously they let a dropped ball go unnoticed from the Broncs.

It astounds me they are so short-sighted they didn't think to use this technology in the bunker the first place, after spending an OBSCENE amount of money on it! As Shane Flanagan said last night, they are still getting decisions wrong and costing teams games (and good on him for saying it costs the Roosters a game). All it has done is speed up getting the wrong decision. They would've been better off putting the money into places where it is needed - juniors, struggling competitions in the bush, etc.

What's the story with how their 'bunker speak' changed last week by the way? Every other week, they came to a logical decision, explained it and made it clear why they had made the decision.

Now their official line is something like 'taking it to the board' (as if the board makes the decision independent of the bunker, rather than their finger on the button).

IMO this is awkward wording. They should use more active speech... 'I think that Mitch Aubusson was in front of the kicker, so it will be a no try'.

The passive speech shytes me, especially when there's no logic behind it. Example... 'a Manly player has dislodged the ball, we're sending it to the board'. And then the board says 'no try'... sorry but that makes no sense! So the bunker think it was a strip (and didn't question the subsequent grounding) but 'the board' somehow decided there was 'no try'. It woulda been MUCH easier to understand if they just said '***I THINK*** that it was a loose carry... knock-on in goal, Manly will get 7 tackles from the 20'.

Don't fark us around with passive speech in an attempt to protect your independence. Refs make decisions based on what their opinion is - just say it as it is, tell the story (in full) and give us your logical conclusion. Otherwise, it just sounds like a guess...

I get that KFC have paid a lot of money for the 'take the chicken' style and the 'spin, spin, spin... what is it?!??!?' has been going on forever. However, I think the concept is outdated. IMO the bunker should be mic'ed up in the stadium (like they already are... selectively) and rather than 'spin, spin, spin... NO TRY!' we should get a slow-mo video (with lines/drawings if necessary) and the bunker saying 'okay here's what happened, I'll walk you all through our decision making process'.

IMO decisions that are poorly explained (or not explained at all) are a major source of anger/frustration amongst fans who really just wanna know why the call was made.
