Cleary has the right personality and character to coach the Roosters.
He didn't want to leave the club as both player and coach.
I can picture him being here long term for sure.Born and bred in the eastern suburbs.

Unless there is another Tinkler out there, Bellamy will not leave the Storm. Both Gus and Chris Anderson had won premierships at different clubs before arriving. Both walked. You can put anyone established coach up and find positives and negatives. Smith has the experience and the attitude towards discipline. His winning % over a long career span to confirm he is a quality coach. What he did last year was remarkable. He is the reigning coach of the year. This season has been riddled with injuries and issues that are not his fault. Carney's hamstring, off field behaviour and overall attitude. Myles gets caught out talking to Searle. Constant warnings to Watts. What has W Bennett done in his history? Players like Lewis, P Jackson and N Costigan shown the door for attitude and behavioural issues. Hodges banished to Qld Cup.
The club's recent history says the coach is not the problem. Can this one contribute to improvement? Yes he can. Is there someone out there better and eager to join? Who? This club needs change. Ratbags and bludgers out. Like every other sporting club, only extend some tolerance for the very gifted, and only when they are really needed. The B Smith / S Noyce combination needs to stay for a long while or its going to be same old, same old.

Far out some of players are precious pussies. Geez, can you imagine what would happen in our workplaces if we had hissyfits and/or underperformed because our boss changes the structure of our workplace. I can tell you now most of us wouldn't have jobs. Suck it up boys and get over it - it's just how life is sometimes. Otherwise, hopefully, a few of them might not have jobs in 2012 either.
Not sure if Daniel Anderson is a good fit for the Roosters, given it's always been rumoured that he has issues with polynesian players and we have quite a few. And considering that at the Roosters the player is always right and the coach is always wrong, I don't believe that Anderson's tenure would be a very long one. I'd give him a season at best, unless there is a vast change in the culture at our club.
NCSupporting the RW&B, through good times and bad times.

Smith and Noyce are in charge and that is not changing whether they like it or not. The only thing they might do, if they can summon the will, that might make a difference is getting behind and supporting the team, preferably starting this Sat night.

Still well respected at the club, and knowing better than most how to get the best out of our Kiwi's at the club.
Also, not afraid to dump established first graders to the reggies. With so many Polonesians at our club, living and working in that enviroment can only be a plus. It is a fine line getting the right balance of salt and pepper.
When Smith's time is eventually up, Ivan would be a great choice. Former player, loves the club........ welcome home Ivan.

Smith is a multiple Grand Finalist coach.
Superleague?...'pretend' footy, not the NRL.
Anderson was just replaced as Eels coach.

Bondi-Boy and R'Mania, if you had to nominate a replacement coach who would it be?
Bennett...he's not available so I'll stay with Smith.
When his contract expires he's reportedly retiring.
By then the club should be restructured and going better...and at that time have I'd have to have a look at who's available.
Cleary
Lam
Cleary/Lam
Who knows.

If Smith is responsible for the reported 'heavy [strength etc] training' schedule being forced on the players, including the day before games...then he needs to stop doing it.
When Ryles was interviewed on the ground at the end of the match it was put to him by the interviewer/or mentioned by Ryles, that the players didn't train as hard during this last week...[and had more energy for the game].
'Flogging' the players with hard strength type training sessions all week is no way to win matches.
'Tapering' and skills training are just as important...you'd think all coaches would know that by now.
