  • Robbo

It takes a very good coach to turns things around in such a short period. Especially with key players missing.

I think you're jumping the gun a bit here postcode.

Robbo did some strange things last night such as playing Napa for 80, playing Vunakece for 10-15, Papalli for 15-20, Evans for 30, and this rotation with SST injured for the majority of the game. Well done to Napa for playing 80 though, immense effort.

Next up the Roosters play on Monday night against the panthers, then the dragons (Anzac Day Monday), and knights - I'll wait and see how the next three go.

      Definitely jumping the gun.
Let's see how the team improves over the next week games before the stars return.
I thought Papalli ran hard last night.

Strange things my ass. Anyone that would have take Napa off last night in the form and mood he was in would be barking mad.
        He never looked tired

Exactly King- those sort of displays are few and far between and coaches would have to be certifiable to break the focus - when your in the groove , your in the groove

I don't think Robbo has turned anything around. We've looked underdone since the start of the season and only now are we putting it together for longer periods in the game as we get some match fitness.

We started the season with 3 kids running the show, new combos, a disrupted pre-season and our 3 best players not back till rounds 8-10, it makes sense to start slow and build towards being into gear around that time. If we keep the same intensity we showed last night we'll win more of the next 5 than we'll lose and with a bit of confidence and those players coming back, who knows where we'll end up.

            Chook.

What better way to gauge things than to beat the team that flogged us 5 weeks ago.

I have a bit of man love for Papalii. I stated before the game he will have something to offer, a lot more than Frei anyway. I'm not sure how Frei ever got selected in front of him, i think Papalii wether it be with us or elsewhere in the future, will see a fair bit of FG off the bench

Robbo is a very good coach, but not sure we've turned things around just yet. That said, you can only play one game at a time and last night's tough performance was very very pleasing.

Just as one swallow does not a hooker make, this was a good, gutsy win but Souths are in disarray because of the Surgess overpayment. So I would put it in perspective.

His use of the bench and him playing Napa for the full 80 was a masterstroke and a big reason we won the match With what we have to keep winning at the moment which we need to do Napa needs to play 80 whilst some of those young inexperienced players only have short stints After last night Id say Napas presence out their brings a fear factor to other sides so the longer he is out there the better

Were they in disarray back in Round 1 or have they just found his pay slip?

They always fire up against the old enemy. Last week and this week show that they're starting to fracture. There is dissension in the ranks. Not rubbing my own rhubarb but I have a friend who knows what's going on in the club, he says there's anger at losing players like Walker and Koroisau.

If Dylan Napa came off the field at any point then we would have been less effective going forward and in defence and might well have lost the match.

Brilliant use of the bench by Robbo last night. He injected JayNik with 10 to go in the first half. Dealt with the SST injury astutely. Recognised and played to Napa's form and staying power, dealt with the concussion withdrawal of Evans well and played Vunakece and Papalli in short bursts where they maintained the rage in O and D. Unsung hero last night goes by the name of Isaac Liu. Beast. And it was Papalli with the offload to Latrell that led to Napa's try. Speaking of the custodian; that was his best game yet. I'd be interested in seeing Double's stats...
